In my expierence with Dayz at the moment i feel that NVGs (Night Vision Goggles) and thermal scopes ruin the atmosphere of this game greatly. There are many reasons for this such as thet ruin the sense of fear you get while playing at night as it is pretty much just like playing at the day. In all the zombie films and games i have seen, i never recall seeing night vision or thermal scopes, the characters usually only have flares or torches to light a dark area adding fear and suspense as you do not know what is in the darkness which with night vision just does not happen. Another reason I think it ruins the game is that it does not seem to be helping the large amount of PvP in the game. There has been many countless times i have been looting Cherno or Elektro or any area along the coast just to be sniped by a camper in the hills with a DMR with night vision or the L85A2 with thermal scope removing this would decrease the chance of being killed at long to medium ranges during the night reducing PvP.The last reason is that the night vision especially does not seem to be that rare. I always come across it once when i take an adventure to the north of the map,being this common it is unfair for new characters as they can't survive at night as they get killed due to the fact they are fighting people who see as well as the do at day at night. This means that new players can't start off at night as they are constantly being camped at night or even just killed if they decide to go north by people who have night vison or thermal and don't decide to camp the coast Solutions to the NVG and Thermal could be:Remove them from the game, Let the server owner choose if he/she would like them in there server or to at least make them more rare. Remember this is only a suggestion and not set in stone and i want to find out what other people think about this idea. EDIT: so many typos

Something is wrong with the server when you log in it says "wait for host" :huh: -
I think it would be a good idea if a large group or clan could be able to take over a town or city such as elektro fortify it and defend it possibily making it a safezone for new players. In theory you could do this now all though the zombies would keep spawning and there is no real way to fortify the city making it near impossible to take control of never mind defend. What would be good is that if there was away for zombies not to be spawned if a city has been controlled by survivors idk how this could be achieved though. Things that could be implemented is the ability to wall of a city or town off with only certain exit/entry points that could be guarded (like check points). If this were to be implemented then there should also be a way to attack cities like a bandit raid by braking down the walls. Personally, i think it is a great idea and would bring alot more society to the post apocalyptic land Please comment on what you think or any new ideas as additions

My suggestion is simply that if rocket decides to implement new maps that he should try to add a winter tundra map. This could add many new features especially to temperature for obvious reasons. It would also make driving more difficult and the need to maintain your vehicles. I think this would make a great map and add many new features to DayZ.

i would like to be able to see a ww2 halftrack (like in the invasion 1944 mod) that you would have to create almost from scratch. something like this http://www.pic-uploa...44/wwa.jpg.html. This is from the invasion 1944 mod for arma 2 so it could be possible. i would also like to see the ability to use a gun as an actual melee weapon. e.g you have an ak-47 with no ammo and you are trapped in a building by zombies. I would like to be able to use my ak as a club to kill the zombies. The same ability would obviously be possible on players. -
most people who i find with as50s tws are not scripters just found a scripters as50 tws, most likely by tent dupe. so adding them it the game would make then a lot more common making the problem worse, btw most people who have them camp at the hill in elektro i barely see people with them anywhere else, so stay away frm the coast if u dont want to be killed by spawn killer with the easiest type of weapon to kill somone in the game with (snipers)

LOL you dont need an as50 or m107 to take out any of the regular vehicles an assault rifle, LMG, or any of the other sniper rifles will do the job easily. -

there should be no anti material rifles as there is no need for such a high powered rifle - there are no armoured vehicles but, other military snipers should be a hell of a lot more rare such as the dmr. The cz should be the most predominant sniper rifle -

Simple dont play on 3rd person servers, and it is kind of fair since everyone can do it on 3rd person servers -
there would be no point there would be no where to land it and would constantly have to be up in the air, might aswell just use a tent

Great idea but you need a river that goes from pobeda dam to black lake and willow lake and then out to sea there are dried up river/stream paths all over that area -

obviously arma 2 would not run on a console , but everyone is pretty sure the nexgen console will be released in the next year or the year after probally about the same time DayZ will be ready to be ported to consoles so if it can handle it sure why not, if you play a game designed for a console and complain it is shit on pc what do you expect, the point is that it is being made for pc so why should pc fanboys care if it goes to console
