It's ranked as #1 server on Gametracker but is absolutely awful. The server performance is great, but the admins that run the servers are absolutely disgusting. The only reason the server is #1 is because the donation system is cheap, and gives you a massive advantage over other players (spawn in with m249s). The server punishes cyberbullying with a ban, as found on their website. I posted evidence of repeated racism, by a donating regular (and rumoured friend of admins) and was banned. Do not donate. You can be banned if a friend of an admin wants you banned. I've seen this happen to many many players, and have LOADS of screenshots proving this and the cover-ups on the forum. If you're interested, whisper me and I'll send you them. For now, here is the screenshot of the Teamspeak conversation with the admin I had, after merely waiting in the "Reports" section. After the last messages I was banned.

When I try connect to a specific server via IP address I'm forever on "Wait for host". Game tracker shows the server is running, and my friends are currently playing on it. I can connect to any other server. Also, the server I'm trying to join doesn't appear on the server list if I let it load and use the filter to search for it. It was initially working, I took a break for a month or two, and came back and now i can't connect to my regular server. Any ideas on what's causing this or how to fix?

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
kragz replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Left a few months ago as there were next-to-no zombies. Eating food to keep energy levels up was about all there was to do. It reminded me of Neopets which I stopped playing circa 2000. Only Neopets had other features. Are the zombies improved in both numbers and how they work? -
Are you a troll? Serious question. You're the one that ASSUMED I was saying they have money therefore all their problems are solved. Something you conjured up out of thin air. Just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't mean you can literally make up and argument that didn't exist in the first place, then attack that. Also it's *sure.

Did I imply it was the answer to everything, or did I include that among other points? Stop trying see what you want to see. You are completely blinded from your sheer-fanboyish love of the game. It's actually really embarrassing.

How very helpful of you. Another emotional reaction to somebody pointing out flaws in their beloved game. I will, don't you worry. But as somebody who has invested into the creative processes of SA I will continue to check back on it's progress and critique it from an objective point of view. Something you're obviously unable to do.

Not really a good argument. The mod was used as a backbone for SA and the developers implemented what they had learned from those days into SA. SA had a VERY strong starting point, something a lot of new retail franchises do not have. If anything, I shouldn't be comparing the Mod and SA because of the consumer standpoint - that the mod is free and SA is not. But that only adds further to the flame. Dayz:SA has a PAID team of developers and is very fortunate to have been HEAVILY funded in its very early stages. Despite this, it shows very little and slow progress. Comparing the two makes plenty of sense, just as comparing Counter-Strike mod and the retail did back in the early 2000s.

If you're going to acknowledge flaws in a game, it's surely much more constructive and productive to do so in a game still in development than one that is currently finished, right?

Why not just play Neopets?

While I understand your frustration at me pointing out obvious flaws in the game, please refrain from such an emotional reaction. It's just a game, I haven't insulted a family member of yours. If you actually take a minute to think about what you have just said maybe you'll understand where I am coming from. If these threads were old two months ago, why is it still relevant? If you cannot assert disappointment for Standalone then you also cannot assert your pleasure in it. That logic doesn't hold up both ways. Please be a little more constructive and less emotional in the future. Thanks.

Better sound design? The sound engine doesn't work correctly. How is that better? You can enter more buildings? Great! Tell me more about all the different hats you've found. This isn't Team Fortress 2 remember. But fine, you assert yourself 'San Andreas' has more features. So like I asked in my previous post, please give me a rundown on what you would do upon entering a server.

Loved the mod, paid into Early Access of SA and it's current state wasn't for me at all. It looks pretty, but that's all I have good to say about it. So I waited many months and logged on to find updates consist of minor changers with a new gun to placate the fanboys. Yup, it's alphur, but the alpha version of the mod still plays more fluently than the SA. Especially the gunplay. The gunplay on SA is so unsatisfying and clunky. Even the sound doesn't work correctly so you can't tell where you're getting shot from. The Mod tends to be more for the skilled survivor and the SA is more for the casuals. At least it seems to be where the direction is going. My question is, you people who love SA in it's current state over the mod version, break down what it is exactly you do.

[Recipe] Steamed Stuffed Peppers
kragz replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I thought this was Dayz, not the fucking sims. So many casuals wanting to hide away and make their ideal home - it's unreal! I heard Sims 3 is quite good. -
Will DayZ SA die out to Mods just like the Mod did?
kragz replied to cywehner1234's topic in General Discussion
I find it astonishing how people manage to clock up 100+ hours on Standalone in its current state. There's literally nothing to do but PRETEND to survive by PRETENDING the zombies are an actual threat. And how anybody who wants something to do is a 'casual'. -
It's up to us to compensate for the problems in Dayz.
