after a snafu with the loot spawns, im hoping it is fixed. for anyone who checked out the server, loot should now spawn as normal. there are also cars and trucks filled with loot to get you started.

I used to always play 'regular' because I wanted to have the broadest view possible and used to hate HC. Then i watched a live view on twitch and realised just how BS it was when I realised how many people manipulate the various glitches to gain a unfair advantage. I mean what retard makes a twitch stream where they are embedded in a wall of a building and is able to see through 3 floors? Wow great gaming! Since then I switched to HC. It's a level playing field. I love that it's so much more unnerving to have a narrower FOV compared to Regular. It took a few deaths and some practice but you soon learn. Anyone who wants to learn I highly recommend watching Twitch streams of Sacriel, Ngotie & Break. They are on every night and just by watching I learnt some good loot routes and game styles that helped me out when I switched to hardcore.

Reminded me of Wewelsburg Castle in Germany.

Came across a guy in the dead of night shooting at me at NW Airfield. I hid in the bushes near the entrance and some how he snuck up behind me and cuffed me without me realising. After he was happy I was not a threat he uncuffed me and took me to a fully equipped M4 and stocked me up on ammo and went to rejoin his team. What a legend!

How long until you need to upgrade that 500 machine for the next big release?

Consoles serve they're purpose for people (like me) who can not be fecked with ever changing spec machine and having to replace a rig every 2-3 years. Not to mention the hackers who basically ruin the experience on PC which was the case with the mod for me. Don't get me wrong I'm no fan boy of PC or consoles. I can afford both for now. But when kids come along to bleed my wallet dry then the console is a more viable option as I know I will get years use from it. Each to they're own. Having to resort to childish name calling and looking down on someone who buys one machine over another is ludicrous. Remember your nothing but a consumer making someone else rich, your not part of any elite organisation, your not going to achieve anything life changing because you own a PC.

Your blowing this out of proportion. There isnt anything to worry about. The articles have asked for his opinion on a 'possible' release on next gen consoles. What sane minded person would rule out any possible future project at this stage in development. Having listened to Rocket on a twitch live stream playing with Sacriel this week it's clear that the PC version is the only way forward until its finished. There was some great ideas for future additions. I'm a console gamer primarily. Dayz is the only PC Game I play (more so than my new xbox one) so I'd be happy for a console version. I would also think Rocket may like the challenge of bringing a game like DAYZ to consoles as if it worked it would be a game changer for the console market which can only be a good thing.

Finding an camp filled with high end gear and ammo me and a buddy got so excited about finding AS50 we just hung around the camp for way too long and got killed by a hacker. Epic fail with a 30 day old character. I tried to return to the camp a few days later and as I was 2 clicks away a aircraft carrier was suspended in the sky like a Death Star.. I promptly left the server.

I'm getting pretty bored roaming on my own so if anyone who is interested in teaming up let me know. Preferably anyone in the UK but it doesnt really matter just so long as you can speak English, has a mic and steam. I have Team Speak but not my own server/channel.

Your right they are all "bad" acts of an imaginative varying degree. And yes they are all realistic element of what goes on in the world right now and even in a apocalypse scenario, but would I contemplate playing a game that gives you an option to rape another character?.... FUCK NO! I can't honestly say I would feel comfortable playing a game that has that as an option as it serves no purpose in any game as it does in real life. Yes it hypocritical but killing in a video game is widely accepted as entertainment as it generally fits in with the narrative of a game and is justified. Raping someone can never really be justified in a video game as entertainment. There are certain boundarys that should never be crossed if you value the medium of entertainment that your creating.

So all was well when finished playing on Friday, but since then I keep spawning on the beach everytime Ive logged in. What's worse is I'm finding it even harder to connect to servers even local UK based servers. I know the connection problem is nothing new but it feels like its got 100% worse. Can anyone shed some light? With the spawning issue it seems if I stay on the same server I spawn where I last logged out, but when I go play tomorrow I will be at another random spawn point.

I bought Arma 2 to support DayZ mod without even playing it firstI figuered i can spend £20 and if turned out to be crap then its no biggy. people who are bitching that they paid money and will now need to pay again need to wake up. The ONLY reason it's now becoming a standalone project is because peopl paid for the game, showing the company there's money to be made from itt. This is how world works companies are set up to make profit and lets be honest, if your bitching about a £20-25 then you really have other problems and shouldn't be buying any games! BI have not asked you to remortgage your house, you did it willingly and you expect them to owe you something?
