    Yes ARMA II Free does work with ARMA II: OA, I got it to work pretty much on my own. It took me a while but in the end it is rather easy. Just make sure you install both games in the same dir. Update OA to the newest version, load all the needed dayZ files as explained here. Then you need to get the ARMA II Launcher by Spirited Machine here. There is also a tutorial for that. Once you've done that it should actually work. Important things: ARMA II and OA in the same dir. Use the proper dir for the addon. (combined operations / @dayz / addons / ~mod files are here~) Use the launcher, check play online and make sure dayZ is loaded.
