Hello, Firstly I apologise if this has been covered before, but i cant seem to find a clear answer to my question(s). But first alittle story, Me and my buddies had come under fire and were heavy wounded, the guys sniping at us had logged off as soon as we found there location so we sprinted not far NW of the hospital in cherno, one friend was killed by a zombie (fail). Me and the other friend, sat on the hill waiting for him to respawn come back. However the server then went down. 10 minutes later back up, all is well, but wait! There is a fully repaired truck (Army Transporter?) literally next to us! My second friend comes running back thought cherno, and he finds one as well! In the middle of cherno. We cant believe are luck! So we loot what we can and set off running our little fleet of trucks. We were doing well, missed an encouter with a helicopter, stocking up supplies and repair kits. Everything time we got out of the trucks to loot somewhere/thing/one we would save the vehicles. We even saw a few bikes and a car but left them for others Further north we find a helicopter crash site. then all of a sudden. "Session Lost"! Annoying but nevermind, log back in 2 minutes later when the server comes back online, but the vehicles were gone :-(. I traced our steps back all the way to cherno and then to where they supposedly spawn. but nothing.. Same thing happened when later that evening, on a different server we got ambushed in a barn as we were being a bit stupid and firing at zombies alot, a bus turned up with 3 guys, killed 2, 1 ran for the hills. Saw the bus, started moving, "Connection lost to the server" Log back on.. No Bus or Bodies... Question Time: Is there anyway to keep a vehicle in a place when the server restarts / disconnects? What does saving a vehicle actually do? Do some servers have more vehicles than others (We've been on some and found a good few v.quickly, been on others and found nothing) Any other advice on vehilce related matters? I want to make it clear, We don't want to hoard all the vehicles, but 1 would be nice to keep constant and help us on our travels, I understand that if its stolen then fair game, but in our expirence they just keep disappearing! :-( Thank you in advance for anyone that reads this! But all in all the 3 hours we had the 3 trucks was some of the best fun i've had in DayZ so far!

Thanks for the fast replies guys. :) So if we have a vehicle, and we put it somewhere where no one finds it (I know that place doesnt exist but for the question purposes). Save it and log off. If the server restarts properly. not session lost or disconneced. Would it stay? Or is it simply a case of Server on, Vehicle there. Server off, Vehicle gone. Also, If you save a Vehicle and the server disconnected. Does the vehicle return to spawn but with all the loot in? Just wondering how all these clans hoard all these vehicles, but I can't get my truck to stay put! >:(

I think tents are really buggy. We had one on UK 22. Stuff disappeared. Next day more junk in the tent. Stuff disappeared. <_< However when we find a tent its always full of lovely goodies! Shall try this save function me thinks.
