  1. Isn't the idea behind DayZ to have alot of players?

    Sins of a hacking gamer...

These forums aren't exactly a genius convention. That being said, what you said there is basically a step by step analysis of what most of the foreign people who post similiar things are saying. Example: i was baned by globel ban but and know i hacked used but im sorry and if roket could unban i would appreciate thanks i know what i did was rong but im sorry and ples unban End Example. You're essentially posting that, but with fluent english, and reasoning behind it. I absolutely %100 know you won't be unbanned, but if the day comes where you get back into DayZ properly, and play fairly for a long time, I believe you legitimately learned your lesson and know what you did.
  3. I think you care wayyy to much about this OP.. I mean, it's a private server. If they want to play by themselves with hacked stuff, and do a co-op thing, that's up to them. If this is an official Database server, then there's a problem, but I'm assuming here that it isn't. Also I don't think they have a mentality of "We're better then everyone" because there's no one but themselves to compare their "Clan" to. If they wanted a pissing contest, a private server would prove nothing to anyone but themselves, that's what I'm getting at here.
  4. Have some class guys, snipe with a crossbow.

    Get rid of this mindset

I love Arma, but I think it'd be cool if, just for shits and giggles, we tried putting DayZ on the penumbra engine.
  6. It's kind of the way of forums. It's for discussion, but most people turn the discussion into a debate, and it escalates from there. At least the DayZ community isn't as bad as LoL's community.
  7. +1 for watching discovery channel.
  8. The zombies are always hated against by players for various reasons, but I recently had an interview/Q&A session with a well known DayZ zombie, which provided alot of insight on what the zombie master race is really on Chernarus for. The zombies are actually peacekeepers. They have a 6th sense which tells them when someone has active thoughts of killing or violence. The problem in DayZ is that everyone wants to kill our undead friends. The reason they run so fast is because they enjoy hugs so much that they will throw themselves at the players, although because of racism they are usually greeted with gunfire. The zombies are actually alot like "Marauder Shields" from Mass Effect 3, if you think about it.

    Been literally humiliated.

This is why I've quit playing DayZ the last month.. Not because I died, that's not a big deal in a video game. No, it's because the community surrounding this game is absolutely negative. Most players are mindless idiots that either spam left click at anything that moves or absolute internet-psychos that we're reading about in this post. That or you're on the forums trying to prove everyone else wrong. Don't mind me though, I'm sure one of you will crush this with a paragraph about why everything I said is false and I should step on legos.

    Global ban

We really need a "Foreign language ban appeal" forum. Then people who understand non-english languages can explain to these people in their native tongue what happened.

    I really like DayZ, but...

I was on some random insurgency ACE server a few nights back, it had 30 players at one point, working cooperatively, using comms like chat to organize strikes on fallujah, and it was just an all around positive experience. I think that DayZ may have this audience, and may even make more money for BI then Arma itself did, but at the end of the day, Arma is a niche title, and always will be. If I could take a guess, knowing how the developers at BI have been reacting to questions about the future of the franchise, I think the Arma series will continue being Mil-Sim. We may see a DayZ game released, using the new engines tech perhaps, but that's WAYYY down the road. This is still an Alpha version of a mod, not a complete mod. Also Arma 3 is far enough into developement now that we can probably assume the game has taken shape.

So, what are you wearing? ;)

"Anyone out there have some actual "DayZ" gear in the real world?" That's about it for me...
  13. Lillowh is right, and I second everything that he/she said. That is exactly what I scrolled down to type.

    My ATV disappear

I've spent lots of my time in DayZ trekking through forests, I wouldn't be surprised if lots of other people did. As others have said, it's either a server restart, or someone ran into it in their travels. Also I think choppers can track vehicles? Not %100 percent on that, but a clan might have gone vehicle hunting and found yours using the chopper or something, I've heard of it happening before.

    Bandit catering?

I think that rocket should add a mechanic where a Velociraptor pounces on you from a forest the next time you reconnect after disconnecting in combat. Same goes for hackers, hack scripts should be Velociraptors. In all seriousness, I think DayZ still needs to find that sweet spot where both playstyles (banditry and survivors) are supported equally. I think the humanity/bandit skin worked well, although the visual/audio cues could be expanded on (See: heartbeat when looking at bandits)
