I've been playing this mod the last week or so, enough to get a decent grasp over the gameplay and most of it has impressed me a lot. But this one mechanic, bleeding, always winds up irritating me. Enough that I feel like not even bothering to try again when I die from it (yet again, because that is the only thing that has actually killed me in this game so far). Example: Earlier I was playing, I had managed to scavenge some decent gear (compass, watch, guns and other stuff) and was going around mostly looking for some food or bandages (I had run out), and basically just exploring the area. I found some big building, went up the stairs a few times to look for stuff, somehow attracted zombies outside the building... which is fine. But then one glitched through the floor, hit me from a meter away, and I killed it immediately. But 5 minutes later I was dead anyway. Why? Because apparently paper cuts are ALWAYS FATAL. Someone forgot to inform developers that humans bleeding wounds are capable of clotting on their own. I feel, all the time, like I'm playing a survivor with a serious case of haemophilia; ANY bleeding wound can and will kill you. And it's because the bleeding mechanics are just ridiculous. At the moment it seems like blood is your main source of 'health'. I don't mind that. But considering that you bleed to death from the slightest wound, bandages seem fairly rare, and zombie mechanics are frankly pretty damn glitchy a lot of the time (which I know can't be helped, but it makes this issue worse than it would otherwise be, such as the glitching through stairs example), I really don't see how anyone can be satisfied with bleeding as it is. So my suggestion is pretty simple: Make bleeding stop after a certain point. Maybe it can be dynamic, sometimes you will bleed to death and other times you wont. Maybe it'll go for 5s or 5m depending on how serious the wound is. And also, maybe slow the rate at which you lose blood down a bit. Right now if you start bleeding and you don't have a bandage, you're dead. You might as well just shoot yourself at that point because it's game over, and that doesn't seem right. It's like every bleeding event is a burst artery or sliced jugular. And considering it seems like every second hit from a zombie causes you to bleed... I know I know, the game is meant to be unforgiving. But there are ways to do that without throwing all logic out of the window, or making the game incredibly frustrating because one physics glitch lets a zombie hit you.
