I agree that there should be more incentives to travel inland rather than everyone scouring the coasts for PvP.

Majority of people went from the Mod to the Standalone, it's quite a bit different

I love the concept of there being only two area's on the maps to find fuel which are both inland, this would make getting fuel risky as there would be other squads also trying to gather fuel, the tankers could be pretty huge (like the ones in solinichny). The game does need more incentive to travel inland so yeah good ideas.

You should always be more careful than you need to be, It really depends on the amount of players on the server you are on and depending on the amount of gear you have, remember that the game is about survival not just looting.
