My helicopter stopped working after i landed it.

I broke my legs and for some reason now I can't walk, I tried eating some sardines, but that hasn't seemed to have helped. As a last result, I might try fixing my legs, but maybe i'm affected by the same bug as you? -
Opinion on stats and skins.
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to Puffy's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah cause a hero skin is useful when a bandit wears one... -

Finding heavily armed dead bodies?
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to Andy31's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Watch out, possibly a man eating tree or rock near by. I personally have yet to experience either, however I was once killed by a driverless car. Ghosts in the machine. -
Kicked off by BattlEye: Script Restriction #55
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to kyriel's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Happened to my friend yesterday, he was driving a UAZ at the time, needless to say I didn't know he had been kicked until the explosion of it rolling into a barrier killed me. -
You'll most likely have to use a mouse dude, windows 7 doesn't like my track pad either haha. A few of the keys you'll have to rebind by pressing escape, options controls etc but that'll be more a preference thing so i'll let you figure out what you want doing what. To get the chat up press the / key and then press the up arrow twice so you're in a channel called 'direct chat' that'll let you speak over a set radius, but most people will just kill you lol.

I currently play it on my 2011 MacBook pro. Only issue I've found so far is no hash key for some servers other than that it's fine. You'll have to install a windows operating system in a bootcamp partition though as its a pc only game. (recommend 7 if you're using mac lion).

Worst Way You Ever Died

I turned around in prone too quickly and broke my legs on a shelf, causing me to bleed out. -
Rules of Day Z............
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to thelonewarrior's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Rule 30: Zombies are as scared of you as you are of them. -
Thinking about it all wrong, your unconscious? You've lost. That timer is a 'second chance', whether you actually get to take advantage of it or not is purely up to the other guys aim.

This is why killing on sight is justified.

Somewhere less popular would probably be better. From what i gathered in the Fort Friendly thread, too many people caused a lot of friendly fire drama. Pick somewhere dead and make it busy, not the other way about!

Has DayZ made you laugh out loud?
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to lugaru's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This needs some elaboration? I laughed earlier as a bandit attempted to shoot a friend, watching from afar I then saw this bandit get nommed by 5 or 6 zombies that snuck up behind him! -
Like the idea, will always avoid 'safe zones' however, too easy for a bandit to get in!

New players cant get past learning curve
MacIntosh (DayZ) replied to Sidewinderx84's topic in New Player Discussion
Have to say I agree with this. Maybe there is a bit of a learning curve compared to other games out at the moment. I for one however am sick of playing cod/halo/battlefield etc only for them to release essentially some new maps with a £40 price tag. This is something different. If the price of that is a steep learning curve? Well i'm up for putting in a few hours to learn. -
Day 1; I awoke on the coast, it was nearing nightfall, no idea of where I was, or even how I got here. All I knew was that I had to get inland and fast. Something wasn't right on the coast, nothing was moving - nothing was here. I began to make for the forrest, crawling at first but something caught my eye in the distance. Smoke? That could be good or bad. I stood at a crouch and made my way west noting a lighthouse a small way off to my left. The smoke was a lot bigger now, this wasn't a cooking fire - the way it was reflected off the tree's it almost made it seem like they were moving, it was so bright. I edged closer to the summit of the hill, crawling the last few yards to get a view of what was on the other side. I wish I hadn't. A whole city bathed in fire. Buildings, cars, corpses, nothing was untouched - the source? A motherfucking battleship. Immersion broken I bolted for the forrest, tucked myself away and logged onto a server with a less dramatic starting scene.
