hey all around half a year ago i was playing dayz day-in and day-out and having a lot of fun with it. i loved the idea of an open world survival game. i slowly but surely lost more interest in the game when issues arose that i became very annoyed with, the first being hackers. now i didnt run into too many of these thankfully but they were extremely annoying when i did. and then we had the saving issue, which was the real annoyance for me. id work hard to save some tents and build up some vehicles and make myself a small camp, come back the next day, and it'd all be gone. that was the one that really killed me. now. i play league of legends a lot but ive been wanting more than one game to play in recent weeks and would love to come back to dayz. my big question is, is it worth it? are the things i mentioned above corrected? what has changed in the game in the last 5-6 months that would make me want to play it again. quite frankly as long as the two things above have been fixed, that would be enough for me to start downloading dayz again immediately. is there still a big player base? thanks for any help!

hello there all, im an american player who plays in the central time zone, looking for people who play around these times also. im not really looking for a big clan, but more looking to join a group of four or five players who have been playing for a bit and maybe have a base set up already or something. i enjoy looking for cars and heading up to high risk areas to loot up. i also like searching for camps and would also enjoy any mini missions the group would need to run. like i said, i want to join up with some people who have also been playing for a bit because i feel like i would fit in well and i know the ins and outs of just about everything. im looking for a clan that have some vehicles and tents already set up from before the .5 patch so that they still work. ive recently lost interest in this game because i couldnt save any tents or vehicles correctly so if that issue isnt a problem for you guys, id be looking to join. i can play during days and nights and my schedule is flexible. send me some info my way via response or messages and ill see if it would be a good fit for me. thanks

yes, its another one of those threads. i log out, log back in later, and i go from the NWAFB to the coast. it's happened at least 10 times to me over the past few days. i was putting up with it the first couple of times and was just gonna go with it at first..... but now its constant. and im really not interested in running back up north every single time i log back in. is there any fixes anyone has found that can fix this?? grrr

i'd much rather have .4 than this .5 piece of shite! but really though im not playing this game again until tents and vehicles work

so i finally found a car to repair. did a couple repairs on it and am going back out to search for some more parts. ive been (and experienced it first hand :( ) hearing that tents to save correctly right now. so my question is, do i try to work on this car right now and try to save it after? or is all my work and things i put into it just going to go to waste...

what do you mean type the server in on google? and i saved the tent once. then went out and found some more stuff later and saved once more, did that screw it up?

gotcha i will check this out then. just logged back in and my car was gone. so was everything in the tent, but the tent was still there. does this sound like a server restart bug or do you think someone found my stuff?

you know this for a fact? how do i know if a server is private?

well at least my vehicle and tent survived the night. took a nice roaptrip into berezino this morning on it!

seriously dayz is like screwed up. im not really complaining but just wondering why i join a server and it says 2:30 and i get in and its dark. and vice versa, midnight and itll be daytime. now THATS not realistic. im just wondering why this is? i dont have NVG's so it takes me longer until i can start playing because i have to try a few different servers. and switching the gamma crap looks ugly to me and doesnt help that much. if i switch my filter to day only on commander, then dammit it should be daytime!! <_<

yeah i ended up parking the truck next to the tent for the night. if they arent there in the morning, im probably just gonna quit this game until stuff gets fixed. its pretty frustrating

and you know this? or is it just speculation? if im gonna do this, id like to get it right lol. ive never heard the save the tent once trick

why only once? i hear tents are not even worth it because they hardly ever save. why do you say ONLY once

yeah i found a nice offroad pickup truck. it would be my first car in this game so far. i just wish it would save :(

sigh. well i guess we'll find out after i log back in tomorrow :( damn this buggy ass game
