Well me and a friend were thinking about transport in the game.. and then i mentioned broken limbs. somehow he came up the idea of electric wheelchairs found in hospitals, would need a car battery to start it and a puncture repair kit and electrical kit to get it going but each battery is good for 50 miles till you need a replacement. It would be a good quiet vehicle, not the quickest but pretty agile so good for nipping round buildings etc. Also easy to hide and can be put in front of a supermarket if raiding it. All in all the perfect Urban transport vehicle!!!! if custom weaponry is implemented into the stand alone i thought it would be cool to say mount a weapon on it say an AK or some similar kind or assault rife... Nothing OTT though, no rocket launchers and such, that's just over kill. We also discussed other "practical entertainment uses for it and could only think of two, Urban wheelchair racing where 4 or so players meet up and have a race round the town, good for the laughs and secondly "Urban Wheelchair Tig" basically one person is " it and has to bump into another player to no longer be "it" He has decided to name it the "Derp Olypmics" and other sports we could implement using the electric wheelchair?? Just a completely random yet funny idea i thought i would share with you guys.

Question about playing with a friend
Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) replied to shokaloop's topic in New Player Discussion
you will be spawned randomly, chance will have you spawn next to each other but more often than not one will probably spawn in Kamenka and the other at Three Valleys -
I would take Reliant hands down!!!

EFS Hints and Tips

Again this is just a training video, i was taking the whole group through the routine, but it easier with smaller groups though in my experience alot easier to hold the place down with more men placed correctly -

Yeah it was only the 3rd run, after a bit more practice it will be quicker. I agree with some of the problems, exterior protection can be implemented with larger numbers or breaking the 3rd fire team off to provide cover, i was just teaching them all at once the routine. Once it's perfected it is as you said a sound manouver and pretty quick too, good for flushing enemy out. -

But this is aimed at groups, fair enough send one man in but he comes across 2 guys crept up in the corner of a room then you can kiss your player goodbye, using the overlap technique as in the video it allows a complete room sweep with a smaller chance of being the target yourself.. Also at any point the squad can take up positions and be able to defend the building as a strong fireteam, pretty hard to push through and almost impossible to defeat. -

Ha ha thanks, and no that doesn't sound like one of my offensive tactics but doesn't mean i wouldn't use it! -
Are you absolutely sure of this fact?? We were tought and trained that the weapons killing range was only up to 1200m, after that the impact of a 5.56mm round is next to nothing. Firing the weapon as a single unit the weapon was effective accurately to 200m, as a group of 4 then 600m. it was designed with Northern Ireland in mind being the SLR at the time was too big and overpowered to be used in about towns, it's 7.62mm rounds would blast a hole through house walls no problem, so we needed something without that kind of destructive power but was still accurate and powerful enough to engage targets up to 600m under constant rapid fire. Hence the birth of the LA85 and later re-designed into the LA85 A2 (commonly known as the SA80-A2 personal assault rifle)

Since people started developing the skills to snipe, hitting a moving target at 600m and to kill with the one shot takes a hell of alot of practice to pull off. Snipers have always had and always will have a key role in the battlefield, be it recon or taking out high priority targets... I always have one of my clan snipers on with me when im playing

and you actually thought you were going to get a sensible answer?? *facepalm* -
AS50 TWS... i hate it, not fun in the slightest but the LA85 AWS however... my best friend. since i usually lead 2 or 3 assault groups it's good for me to keep and eye on them from a distance and spot targets, easier for me to flush out snipers trying to target them. It's a good way to keep the balance against such snipers as yourself, though meant to be super rare so only a few people would have the upper hand. i like it for spotting and combat from 200-400 meters. Plus it's a great side weapon for the DMR.

Issue with setting up Barbed Wire, Sandbags, and Tank Traps
Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) replied to Welch (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
usually with barbed wire i align it a foot away from myself, normally sits just where i want it, sandbags and tank traps are about the same.
