It is a good idea but then it will end up being GTA DayZ, sometimes having 80 vehicles on a private server is a nightmare, just chaos everywhere... in my own experience keeping my feet well and truly on the ground keeps me alive longer. I also agree that the cars couldn't have de-graded so fast but at the end of the day it does add more of an atmosphere, Like the world has truly ended!

Nope, pretty sure they didn't! Not to sure what has happened to you but i have never had to create a new character out of the blue like you mention
