Alright, this is simple... i know System specs are on the Steam page but they mean jack to me at the moment, my main concern is consistency in performance. Now i like to stream and record alot which for 99% of games on my system is no issue at all. However DayZ is that 1%. Before i get the bleating herd of "It's Alphar" listen up.... I run an [email protected], 8GB of DDR3 @ 7-7-7-24 1600Mhz and use a GTX 660 2GB card. I start up DayZ on ultra settings, everything is shiny and bright and it runs well at about 50fps... however this will drop and peak continually all session unlike Arma 3 that holds at about 38fps after is settles (on Altis) and never normally sways from that. The drops don't happen when im streaming or recording or when i start either, instead it just happens totally randomly. I understand this isn't optimized yet however can i get an idea what settings i should be on ideally for a setup like mine. To be honest i'd rather ask than a 10 poster... i'm less likely to get the "goto hell NooB" chants. but this is a genuine suggestion. I'd like to know what to run this game at to maximize my use out of it.

done that, tried every damn setting, still fluctuates. I have used every trick in the book that Bohemia has for enhancing performance and getting the most out of what i have. My problem is i don't have a clear guideline to what my OPTIMUM settings should be. I never have these issues with ARMA 3 which in my eyes is a hell of a bigger game!

i love it, however my only niggle is the character in the foreground is too sharp compared to his backing... it does look like he's kinda been stuck there with glue. maybe attempt to soften his edges down a little, bar that i like where this is going.

yes im aware of that, same as Punkbuster back in the day, but i was on about A2 to SA....

That's not playing though... out scripting each other is not the way Smash :P

My point is, there is no way you can get banned on A2 and have the ban carry on to SA.... it's purely illegal to do so. No company on this earth can ban you from a product, serve you a new one and ban you as soon as you have purchased it... it's called Theft.

That's the only way he could have got banned. I do not believe for one second rocket would risk the legal backlash of cross banning.

It's illegal for them to ban you from Arma 2 then carry the ban over to the Stand Alone... if you have bought a COMPLETELY different game NO BANS should carry across...

To whom i met in the Berezhino supermarket yesterday, I salute you for making me absolutely crap my pants while streaming on Twitch, i also thank you for the random dribble i couldn't understand as you turned on your heels and proceeded to flee like Usain Bolt from the shop entrance. You sir were a moment of utter comedy, not only did you managed to just run into the shop without first noticing this fully geared up nut case with an assault rifle staring at you but you then managed to run right up to me before whaling in surprise. I knew you were unarmed but your frenzied cries for mercy were noticed and responded with in tears of laughter, i never got to acknowledge your thanking of my actions in slaying the undead you had so kindly brought with you so here it is. "You are very welcome". I was attempting to communicate and give you some essentials such as food and water since i had just emptied a good portion of the town but alas my mic does not work on direct and in your blind panic you vanished into vast corridors of the town before i could lend you my help. So this is to you good Sir of whom i believe was German, Thank you for making me believe there is a little bit of comedy amongst the QQ'ing and Rage Quitting!
