I'd go with a Haswell CPU since it is only a few bucks more and uses the same socket as the next-gen processor line, Broadwell. So change the CPU and the MOBO imo, for the rest you're good to go in terms of DayZ needs.

Alright since I have no idea what to buy for Christmas I decided to upgrade my CPU from an FX6300. I can either go with a new i5-4670k and wait a month for the motherboard OR Purchase my friend's used i5-4570k and buy a motherboard at the same time. I am also upgrading to haswell because the LGA1150 is future-proof in the sense that the next gen CPUs will be on the same socket.
