You're not. The people who want 16GB are the same who would want two GTX 680's, even though 1 can walk all over every game available.

I've never had an issue running on 8GB, so I think its fine. I would say the SSD is a bit small for the rest of what you have. You can always use a secondary, but it seems like you went all out. I would have gotten a bigger one, my 128GB gets full wayy to fast.

No, its me(and likely other players) EX: if I had a Lee Enfield, and came upon a shotgun, I'd take all the shotty ammo, but leave the gun. Drop the ammo somewhere when my bags are full. Now the gun is useless, unless the player already has ammo, or until it respawns. lol, sort of a d*ck move, but I look at it as a factor of survival... but they also spawn without ammo...

as of right now, yes, that's what you have to do. You can hold flares and chemlights while armed, but you give away your position. Also, certain guns have tac. lights attached, but I've not found one where loot spawns, just on a dead guy :|

dayzmod.com is the only place I know that has accurate stats. Some places claim to, but I don't believe it. For me, I've had a character alive for almost 30 in game hours.Probably not much, but it was nearly 7 days IRL I played with him..

He'll never get anywhere with dumb posts like this. Sometimes you just spawn away from cities or on the far SW border of the map. I think everyone has gone more than 15-20min without a gun. If not, they're spawn-killing themselves with nearby zombies until they pop up in Cherno/Elecktro. But even then, it would take nearly that amount of time to kill yourself over and over... So playing 100% legit, I call BS.

just need to know the right buildings. IF you really want to find out fast, use http://dayzdb.com/map People might say using an out of game map is cheating, but they already know the locations, lol . Scroll over locations and it tells you if its high value building, low,etc

When you sit on the forums all day, the same thread is bound to show up sooner or later. I don't usually engage on site unless im in a hostile area, or they are physically threatening(rushing my position w/o warning, keeps pointing gun at me,etc). I've shot 2 random dude's that were unarmed because they both ran around a corner straight at me.I felt bad :(

yep, it does suck. Also, I have a few friends that are newer players, and they always try to store a gun in their "noob" pack. Since its not big enough, the gun disappears, and then I have to listen to them get all wtf'ey for the next ten minutes...

Well you almost did a barrel roll... Question: Do you know if you left the game while sitting inside the heli at your base or where ever, would you respawn in it? Or does it stay active in the world and you would respawn where the heli was last?

I think he's correct. I've heard of hacks that remove trees altogether for the hacker so he can shoot right through them. These guys are also correct about the bullets going through the wall, but I've never seen it happen in DayZ. I think a bullet would go through a door without a hack though, zombies do. :)

Yeah, or maybe you cant DC if you fired a shot within X amount of time. Or maybe you cant DC within a certain radius of another player. IDK, anything they change will hurt the Legit gamer as much as the cheater.

Since the last patch, I've seen random blue chat on servers as well. Not like side or global though, and not frequent enough. Have no idea what it is.

When I just installed TS3 it asked if I want to use the overlay, which can be considered a third party app, which is ban-able. It warns you before you proceed.

yep. few times. once we got put on a roof with our guns equipped for a shoot out. another time in a place called thunderdome or something with weapons in crates, but we just instantly died there before we could fight.

I have 2 other guys I met on here. They might be on later, we could have a larger group w/ sillybanana above. But, we're up at the NW airfield. Any chance you can get close to there? I got put into a place last night that was a small combat ring type of thing. It had boundaries and crates full of guns and a message popped up saying something about a deathmatch. It was only up for about 8 seconds and then we all died, no one fired..... Actually looked fun, lol. Was at NW airfield with a friend who took FOREVER to find me. Seems to happen at least once during a longer session(4 hours or more).
