You know, my friend got banned after this latest patch as well, so I've been skimming the forums looking for answers. You're the first team member to actually say they believe it. It's nice to hear, with so many ppl like ganjastar around. My friend made a thread but stopped checking it because he was basically attacked by other members for being a "hacker"

It's very possible thats what causing it. I'm going to head home at lunch today and record the whole process. I've already dl'ed and played with the patch, but I'll try to join this server in about 40 minutes..

I'm not raging, just saying contacting BE wont do any good. They specifically state they DONT want to hear your story. Just give them your ID info and they look up your account, see your banned, and tell you tough chit. I wasn't banned yet so I have no reason to be mad. I've actually considered buying the game again for my friend because he's only 15 and doesn't have any money, and this isn't fair for him at all.... I don't think I can give a company any more of my money though if they're going to ban people without a chance of appeal.

That's a good one man, some people might buy it. Nope, they wont help either, so people are forced to create crappy threads hoping to get some useful info. My friend was global banned Tuesday night. He's tried to appeal it with no response. It's a joke they can lock a legit players game..

My friend had the same problem last night. We were in a skype call and he got a global ban for no reason. We play together every night, I know he doesn't hack.

I do certainly know. Not worth arguing though, because people will always defend the broken battle eye. We think a hacker reported him for hacking because he killed one the night before while he was spawning in a dirtbike. We even blew the dirtbike up... because there was 3 of us, not because we didn't want to take it :)

A friend of mine got global banned last night and i'm 100% certain he didn't hack,he barely knew how to install DayZ.Not from this server of course, but something must be going on with Battle Eye... Of course, he cant really appeal it or try to explain he's never hacked, they don't care to listen.... Sure you won't believe he didn't hack, no one on the forums does.. But if B.E is banning for no reason, something is clearly wrong here.

I was south of Berezino in a small 1 room house when I logged out. I logged in 2 hrs later and was glitched inside the wall and floor, so I was stuck...I couldn't get out until I tried to go prone and crawl out, which worked, but I crawled out in stary sober, with no gear, and before that I had a kobra and PDW I found on a dead guy. Very odd.

Battle Eye just banned my friend for hacking. He's not a hacker though, he's 15 and had trouble even installing DayZ. He basically gave up because everything says hes screwed now. What we think happened is: we were both in a server, and a hacker TP'ed us and shot the whole group when we spawned in front of him. My friend's legs broke when we TP'ed so he didn't get shot with the rest of the group. It was his first time being hacked so he stayed in the game for a couple minutes because he was worried about his gear. Since my friend didn't die, people must have thought he was the hacker and reported him. He was banned the next day.. I have no reason to lie,I can still play. He was wrongly banned. Its pretty bad to see so many hackers in game, and have a guy who's played for about 2 weeks get banned for not doing anything....

Worst thing is when a random guy opens fire on you, so you decide to shoot back, then he DC's because he's a crappy shot. If you're going to open fire, finish the job or live with the consequences.

seems like they disappear to me as well. I saved a dirtbike in the middle of nowhere, drove 10 minutes through the forest to find a good tree. Log in 45minutes later, already gone.....

The rules are very strict on what action you can take if Globally Banned.. Here's a direct copy/paste from Battle Eye. Sorry, I tried to explain in my own words, but its better to see this. I shortened it to the important ones ! IMPORTANT WARNING REGARDING GLOBAL BANS ! Do not tell stories. Whatever you are saying about yourself or your situation won't matter. The only thing that matters is the evidence that is gathered for every global ban issued. Do not ask for the evidence behind your ban. No details about it will be revealed. Hackers would love to have access to this information. Do not beg for mercy. If you cheated you will have to live with the consequences. Global bans are permanent and no exceptions will be made. Questions regarding how exactly to get unbanned will be ignored. No support will be given on how to buy a new game or change your cd-key.

Make sure to dc EVERY TIME. My friend just got globally banned because we were TP'ed to a location and everyone died except for him, he just broke his legs and hit the ground. He stayed on the server for a couple minutes, and people must of thought he was the hacker so they reported him. Now he can't play at all, and he's having no luck trying to appeal the ban because he was flagged for hacking...lol he's like 15, his dad bought him the game, he barely knows how to install the dayZ mod, not the slightest chance he hacked...So be very careful in a server with a hacker..

When you re join you will be falling from the height you last DC'ed. You'll need to join, and DC right away a couple times until you get close enough to the ground to fall and only break your legs. It can be tricky, and you have to be fast, but it works for me.

Nice post. F4'ing doesn't bother me except for when I get fired on and then he DC's because I shoot back. If you're going to open fire, finish the job, regardless of the outcome.. When I sneak up on people and try to kill them but don't get the kill, I can't really blame them for DC'ing. It sucks for me, but its in the game whether I like it or not.

Everyone says they're super rare, but I've found a few this last couple weeks, so maybe something changed.... Never seen an MD.

never really payed attention to the day counter, but I played on a single character for a long time, roughly 25 hours in game. Probably 5 to 7 days he was alive. :P I play a lot.

Have you ever heard of youtube?? From hackers happy to hack, to them showing you HOW to hack.... its all there man. Not to mention many of these threads have video proof.

with the update release just around the corner, I doubt it was hackers. Either someone who got the update early, or people testing it...

I have not tried in DayZ, but in the profile menu in ARMA II main menu you can change all that. I assume it would change your character in game as well.
