whats even scarrier is its true lol. This actually happened to my group.

Ill admit, There are quite a few good ideas that people have been throwing out there for the standalone. But some people just want too much realism. Ive seen suggestions ranging from, Drinking your own piss, shitting your pants, eating bugs, and spawning with physical disabilities that the player has to live with until he dies. Keep it fun, realistic and yet simple people. Nobody wants to button mash just to open a can of beans or move the mouse to raise a spoon full of pasta to the players mouth. Suggestions like these are just downright retarded.

So. Me and my friends decided to move our base to a little shack by a dirt road just south of black lake. We had of course talked about the legends of the black lake monster on our way there and decided to take a little patrol just to be safe. My team mates had said they were seeing and hearing things in the woods above the cliff that overlooked our camp. At the end of this video that I recorded you can see what looks like a white object that runs off quickly into the woods when we approach it. Im trying to find the other half to this video to see if I can find anything else.

Once again.. This wasnt the only sighting we had of it. We had been seeing it for almost a half hour wandering around our camp. It wasnt a bunny.

I thought that too. I looked all over the place and couldnt find a bunny anywhere. When I saw it in game it was much larger too. If you look closely it looks like something behind the hill. But I suppose youre entitled to your opinion.

believe it or not there was actually a mod that someone was going to make with the first arma that had features very similar to dayz. But the arma 1 engine didnt have enough script availability for them so they swapped the mod over to the cry engine instead. And in all honesty, It looks pretty sweet lol. Check out trescom (a place for trespasser fans) Theres a guy thats re making an old JP game thats going to be an open world survival rpg. It also looks very promising.

I prefer a hatchet and my own 2 feet.

the creature of black lake.... About 2 weeks ago me and my 3 buddies had decided to move our camp from elektro to a small shack just south of black lake. The first two nights were quiet, No zombies, No other players. This place was isolated. So... it was around 3 AM in game. We were all sitting around a campfire. My friend Ethan said he had done some googling and heard of a strange creature that brutally murders anyone it finds. After he told the story it had the guys on edge. We decided to take turns patrolling a certain area around our camp. The guy who took the first watch had said he had heard what sounded like footsteps and strange grunts/groans behind him every once in a while. After coming to the conclusion that it was "just a boar" I decided to take second watch so the others would stay calm. I had made it to the furthest corner of our perimeter. About a quarter mile north of our camp, In the densest part of the black lake forrest and cliffs. I was scanning the horizon when all of a sudden Everyone in the teamspeak started yelling and freaking out. I asked them what was going on and they said there was something in the bushes that was on a small cliff overlooking our camp. I had already started working my way back when I heard gunshots coming from the camp. POP! POP! POP!.... 3 shots from a makarov went off. After a few seconds of silence, My friend told me that they had all taken cover inside our UAZ. And that whatever it was that attacked them was heading north of the camp, In my direction. At this point I was pretty scared and I was armed to the teeth. So I began sprinting back to the camp. I can see the campfire light and the shed about 400 meters away. After about 2 minutes of running I began to hear footsteps off in the brush somewhere and strange grunting sounds. I lost my stability for a moment and began firing off rounds into the brush. The footsteps stopped for the moment being and my team mates were telling me to hurry... I was now 80 yards from the UAZ. Sprinting without looking back I heard the footsteps again. Then as soon as I reached the car and got inside. I turned on my NVGs and looked to my left into the dark forrest. All I saw was what looked like a very large black zed. But it was kind of strange looking. It sprinted off into the forrest and we drove off as far away from the lake as we could get.

This happens to me a lot.

I think its great that players suggest Ideas. But In reality you have to think. These game devs actually read suggestions from people. The more outrageous, crazy ideas people throw out there. The longer it will take the dayz devs to make the game because theyre using all their time trying to read through peoples Ideas.

I think people are getting way to carried away with the dayz features.... Ive seen everything from can openers, to pooping yourself in game..... I like realism but holy shit guys.... come on.

I like the idea. I can only imagine how cool it would be to be in cherno when all of a sudden, a train derails and smashes half the city... Other players running for their lives and stuff. :D

Id say the m16a2... or the m16a2 GL if youre lucky enough to find one... Speaking of which has anyone else found an m16a2 GL, Put it in their back pack, and it glitched into just a normal m16a2 without the GL?..... It happened to me and I was pretty pissed. But at least I found a heli crash that had like 30 STANDAG rounds in it.

Hello... So I was just on my favorite low pop server and someone hacked it!. They spawned the giant building thats in cherno all over the map somehow. Ive never seen this hack before. Also I have the name of one of the hackers. They were in the server when I joined but they both logged off as soon as I got in the game. (Joseph) iS one of the hackers names. I cant remember the other one.... In all seriousness tho. Ive never seen a hack like that.
