I would like to see more dayz players with this attitude.

Maybe it would be easier to just restore power at the electro power plant. Then the fuse boxes become useful.

An old abandoned underground Cold War lab/base that has high value military and medical loot. But it's incredibly hard to access. Maybe in order to access it you have to restore power and find a key code or something. Also the inside should have a few zombies in it. Not too many tho.

Even if I had a clear shot I probably wouldn't. As long as you're friendly. After all people look for hours to find loot like that.

No it was a massive migration of Console players who know nothing but CoD. They heard of dayz when zombies were (and still are) a really big pop culture fad. So now the mod is filled with total fagdouches who KoS for no reason.

(This is a summary of my first time playing dayZ, I plan on making it into a full length youtube movie) It was only my second or third time playing. I was still somewhat a noob at dayz. I spawned near cherno, It was cold, I had no equipment. And I had been running from zombies for a good 2 or 3 minutes. I was bleeding out and had used my only bandage by accident. There was no sign of civilization, No food, or water for at least 2 more miles. I kept running for a few more seconds, but there was no hope. I finally collapsed from lack of blood. The 3 zombies hovered over me getting ready to devour my body. Suddenly, I hear the faint sounds of gunshots. The zombies dropped dead to the ground. I was thinking to myself "Great another bandit, Time to respawn!" But as I pulled up the in game menu. I noticed my screen in the background began to move. But my hourglass was still on screen. So I immediately knew someone wasn't looting me. They were SAVING me! Someone was dragging my body towards the forrest! He then let go of me. After a few minutes of laying unconscious at the edge of the woods. I regained consciousness! I stood up and noticed that I had stopped bleeding. He bandaged me. And took me to safety. I stood up and looked around. I instantly spotted him in a nearby pine tree. As soon as I looked at him, He stepped out of the tree and asked if I needed anything. I told him I needed to eat, so he gave me a canteen and few cans of beans. After walking for about 45 minutes and fighting our way through a few light zombie attacks. We ended up agreeing to be a team. Once we finally reached our destination (the barn in prigorodki) the sun was already down. So we set up a fire pit in the middle of the barn and rationed out our supplies... Afterwards we decided to take turns patrolling the perimeter of the farm. Once my new found team mate (Ronnie) returned to the barn after taking first watch. I stepped out to start my patrol. I had gotten out to the edge of the field and had began to get a bad feeling in my gut. So I sped up my patrol and headed back to the barn. Just as I got to the door I heard voices in the direct chat. They were threatening to kill my team mate if he didnt tell him where a helicopter was located. Apparently the guy who saved me was part of a hero faction on the server and the other guys were their opposers. As I sat there eavesdropping hearing them as they beat him with a crowbar, and listening to the enemies ask the same question about a helicopter about 3 more times. He finally told them where It was... In one word he replied with "Lopatino". There was silence for a few moments, then.... "BANG!". It was the sound of an M1911. followed by the sound of flies. The bottom of the screen read "Ronnie was killed". Scared, I turned around to run. But before I could look up I hear the quick "Thud" sound from a crowbar or hatchet striking you. My leg was broken. And the hourglass once again popped up on my screen... Yet I was not killed. Again, someone grabbed me and began dragging me into the barn. Once I came to, In the barn floor. I couldnt stand. And worst of all I couldnt escape. I looked around and at first didnt see anyone. Then I looked on the second floor of the barn. There was a man standing there, He had on aviator glasses and a camo uniform. Without a gun drawn he walked down the wooden stairs toward me. He crouched down beside me. Pulled out his M1911. And pointed it at my head... He then uttered the words, "And I heard as it were, A voice of thunder... One of the four beasts saying, Come and see... And I saw, and behold, a Black horse... His rider, Plague and famine" Expecting to hear a loud bang and a YOU ARE DEAD screen... I received the opposite. I heard only the loud click of an empty gun. The aviator wearing player then placed his empty M1911 and a magazine on the ground in front of me. He stood up and said. "Good luck". He then ran out of the barn. A few moments later I heard the sound of a car engine heading up the road. I turned to the body of my former comrade. I opened up his ALICE pack and retrieved and used his only morphine pen. I had also decided to not take any more gear off his body, Just in case he decided to come back for it. After patching myself up. I turned around and grabbed the empty m1911 and what I thought was an empty magazine... Actually had 1 shot in it. I put the pistol in my backpack and sat there and thought for a minute about what he had said to me. He had taken a verse from the bible about the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and changed it slightly. He was referring to the zombies in the game. The plague and famine! He was telling me the zombies will kill me as well as starvation. He must have thought I wasnt worth his time or something. But he was definitely worth mine. So I headed off up the highway into cherno to pursue my friends killer . After doing some sneaking around And a little looting for food. I ran into some luck. I had came across a player driving a car... He pulled up next to the fire station. I was hiding out back peeking around the corner, waiting for him to get out. I was only going to have one shot at this.... He finally hopped out of his car and headed toward the front entrance of the fire station. He was armed with an m16 so he couldve easily one shotted me if he spotted me. Luckily he didnt... He passed me up and had started heading up the tower. Once he reached the second flight of stairs, I sprinted for his car! I hopped in and shut the lights off. I then began to back out of the parking spot. Once I got the car turned around I saw the Other player run out from the front entrance toward me! I put the pedal to the metal and floored it out of there! I headed north west for as far as I could. I knew the killer was heading to Lopatino. So thats where I was going. My car ended up running out of gas between the two towns of pustoshka and Vybor. In the distance I heard a lot of gunshots... My guess was the Hero clan and the Bandit group were battling it out there for the helicopter. So I decided not to waste anymore time and headed north to Lopatino as quickly as I could. My only other weapon was a hatchet I had found in the gas station at the north edge of Zelenigorsk. And still no ammo in my pistol. At this point I didnt care... I was alive and looking for revenge. Even if it meant attempting to slash my way through a zombie infested combat zone. After sprinting for a good 6 minutes or so, I had came to a small fueling station outside of Lopatino... I decided to stop once I heard the sounds of helicopter blades above me.... The helicopter flew south west out of the city. The helicopter was heading just caddycorner of the fuel tanks I was at... I could see who was flying it too... It was him. The killer. He was getting away!.... Then... suddenly. A rocket shoots out of the city! straight toward the Huey! BOOM! A direct hit. The helicopter then begins to spiral out of control into the forest south west of my location. Before the helicopter crashed I had already began sprinting toward it. It wasnt far off now! Then once I was about 40 meters away the helicopter smashed into the ground in front of me in a fiery explosion!... I stood there watching. Nobody died. No name showed up in the death box... The bastard survived! I knew he would be bashed up though. So I began looking around the heli for his mangled body. Thats when I noticed him in the sit animation with his back to a tree. His face covered with blood and cuts. He said "Help me dude! I can give you good weapons!"... I stood there with no weapon drawn... Staring at him. The glow from the helicopter crashes flames dimmed over the killers face. So I crouched down beside him... Pulled out his M1911 and loaded the 1 bullet he left me. I pointed it at his head. He then proceeded to insult me and call me a pussy. I finally utter words..... The words I spoke? "And I heard as it were... The noise of thunder, One of the four beasts saying. Come and see! and I saw. And behold, A Pale horse, His rider?..... death." BANG!... I killed him. I put a bullet right between his fucking eyes. I then placed his pistol down in front of him. Turned torward the coast. And as the sun was rising... I headed off into the wild east to begin my journey into DayZ. (YOUTUBE MOVIE CREDITS BEGIN TO ROLL AND THE FOLLOWING SONG BEGINS TO PLAY)

Ok so earlier today, I got a great idea for a youtube video! I want to make a youtube video based on everything that went down during and a little before the DayZ apocalypse. Im basing it on my DayZ characters life during the hell and anarchy of the infection. I need one person to play the role of the guy who helped me when I first started playing. Also I will need another player to play the role of the bandit that killed my first team mate. Both of these roles all have their own back story that surrounds the main characters story. The videostyle is going to be a mix of a "flashbacks, and (whatever style cloverfield was filmed in) " YOU MUST HAVE A MIC! YOU HAVE TO BE 17+! YOU NEED TO HAVE PATIENTS AT ALL TIMES! YOU NEED TO HAVE TEAMSPEAK! AND! You should have Arma 2 PMC

I agree. A SP mode would be kind of interesting for dayz. As long as there were NPC bandits and survivors.

Last night I joined a public server, In a matter of 10 minutes I came across a dead body, It had 3 cans of dew, a ghillie suit, Camo clothing, a silenced m9 and a few medical supplies. As soon as I found the dew in his inventory I knew I would have to bare the burden. So... I took the dew and decided to do as another player had done in another forum post. I took it to green mountain. I took them to the highest point of the tower and dropped the cans under the red hatch that you cant go up into. Luckily I walked away with my life... 3 times the dew = 3 times the curse.

Yes.. and I havnt found much of anything useful at all. Unless you can build a fort out of tin cans and empty whisky bottles.

people are retarded... I love when little kids get a heli by killing someone for it and they get like 100 feet in the air and start doing flips and shit and just being completely reckless. Oh no.... Its only one of the rarest vehicles in the game. Lets steal it, and crash it while making WHEE sounds into the mic. Then get pissed when the heli crashes and you die....

Im pretty sure this is already a feature in Arma. You have to change a few files tho.
