After putting some pieces together I came up with my own little theory on how the infection went down. In the first arma there is an addon called "royal flush" in this addon the primary objective is to prevent biological warfare. I think that somehow the biological agent from sahrani made its way to chernarus through civilian travel. If you notice the billboards all over chernarus they are always either about flowers or sahrani. Also if you notice there are still US vehicles (crashes, humvees) and US soldier bodies all over the place. My guess is, the USMC kept a base in operation after the war for peace keeping reasons. However, the USMC presence in the country was too little to do anything about the infection. So they did the best they could and attempted to close the borders and set up rescue and evac areas. Just a theory.

on the mountain just north of the elektro power plant. I get all the resources I need from the land. And if I ever need to travel I have a uaz. I usually help fresh spawns near elektro by giving them some extra supplies. I also like to keep a watch over the city to make sure no bandits move in.... Its always best to keep the big cities safe, Theyre dangerous enough as it is.

im starting to get pissed reading all these comments from people saying "hurrr join a private hive!" NO! I shouldnt have to run and hide behind a whitelisted server just to enjoy this fucking game. Public servers should be JUST as fun for players as a private hive. I agree Dayz has gone downhill because everyone wants to be a fucking hacksfag and ruin the fun for everyone. GTFO hackers!

I once rescued a freshly spawned player from an antagonizing bandit. He had a gun to his head in the Elektro store. I came up behind him with a makarov and put 5 rounds in the back of his head. Gave the unarmed player the makarov and some rations and escorted him to a safer area.

I agree. Ive been having the same issues. If its not a hacker its always some asshole... Ive been having horrible issues with spawn killing. I spawn and some asshole shoots me from the treeline. I dont get angry when someone kills me when I actually get going and have supplies. Because its on me if im stupid enough to approach someone and get shot when I have a bunch of gear... But when I only have a hatchet and all the basic stuff and I only run 2 meters and get shot. Its a little rediculous. Ive had this problem on quite a few different servers now. :/

I like the idea of boarding up doors and windows and the hammers and nails thing. As it does get kind of annoying just working with barbed wire and tank traps. Idk about the wildfire thing tho. And Im kind of hit and miss with the lantern thing.... Good post tho!

if devs listened to bs like this. Dayz would end up just like any other bs zombie shooter. Like dead Island or dead rising. Dayz kind of has that original RE1 feel to it with an open world... If I could have them add anything to this game, It would be a very deep storyline.
