AMD is not that great of a gaming CPU when compared to Intel. You can't buy that AMD PC and change to an Intel without getting a different motherboard. PlayZ is right tho, don't buy a gaming PC if all you need it for is DayZ, if would be a very poor decision IMO.

I was just running around looking for an animal to kill when all of a sudden i get teleported in a house and some guy shotgunned me to death. I lost: Ghillie M4 M203 Holo NVG Rangefinder GPS M9SD ALICE pack A bunch of steaks! The reason in mot mad is because I stopped taking this mod seriously (due to hackers) a while back and only play it to kill time. Still waiting for a fix for all this hack shenanigans.

It should be able to but I would look for an Intel CPU if I were you. I have an AMD quad core and I kinda regret getting it. This game engine loves to eat CPU's, a dual core can't run it well at all.

The graphics card (onboard) will most likely not cut it although the Arma II engine is a little more forgiving on the GPU so you might be able to pull it off. It will hammer down on your ram, cpu, and hard drive but what you have is pretty good. Only one way to find out bud! Try everything off/low and work your way up till you reach the maximum amount of detail but still have an enjoyable framerate.

What I meant to say was that I DID find all those items but never an M14. I dunno about the game stats on these weapons but the M14 is a DMR without the scope. Both systems are M14's... at least in the real world.

All the surgeons have been killed by zombies, I don't think a sex change would be possible.

Haven't come across one yet. I've gotten an M24, AS50, M107, never have I seen an M14. NVG's, rangefiners, ghillie suits, and GPS's, never have I seen an M14. I'm assuming they're pretty rare, nice catch!

Once you figure out how the zombies "think" they will be the least of your worries. Don't trust anyone, 9 times out of 10 you'll get shot if you encounter another player. If you don't want to be a murderer try to avoid/flee when you see another player. GET OFF THE COAST as soon as possible. Find a Makarov, some ammo, and some food/water and GO. Grocery stores have your survival gear such as hunting knife, compass, map, matches, watch etc... buy they are frequented by players for that reason. Hospitals have your medical supplies but you'll most likely have to shoot out the windows to get in (it will attract zombies). Fire houses have some military equipment/weapons but are hotspots in the big cities (Cherno/Elektro/Stary/Berezino) and are often camped by bored players who want an easy kill. Apartment buildings (usually in clusters of 3) and churches have some pretty good loot also. There is Stary and NW Airfield which are loaded with military equipment/weapons but they are also war zones, there are a lot of people at those two locations and it's very likely that you will get shot at. Don't run through open fields if you can help it, go through the forest to avoid being spotted by other players. And most important, get used to dying. The second you get comfortable with your surroundings and you drop your guard, someone will drop you. Have fun and welcome to DayZ!

Cities with active power grids during a zombie apocalypse doesn't make sense.

That really sucks because most of the time you can't. Try getting further from the tree and the icon might show.

Nope, that came with the newest patch and you can't fix it yourself (as far as I know). It should be fixed when 1.7.2.5 comes out in a few days however.

Try joining a server with one or two players on, see if that decreases your 'loading' time.

The Arma II is a nice engine in terms of realism but terrible TURRBLE for modding. Hell, the thing can barely run properly when it's bone stock!

With your inventory menu open, try placing the tent. If it fails then take a SLOW step back while the inventory is still OPEN and try to place it again.

I don't think Rocket expected his mod to get this popular. I do agree the mod needs a lot of work but it's fun, lots of fun. And people are treating this mod like its a game, they have high expectations for bug fixes and new content. It's not rocket's fault for making such a successful mod hehe but that's all it is for now. Maybe when DayZ hits one million users it'll make the news and Bohemia will give him some more people to help him. People just need to remember that they bought Arma, not DayZ.
