Rocket has the advantage. We didn't pay a dime for DayZ, so he can do whatever he wants, say whatever he wants, be as politically incorrect as he wants.. Its his mod, we're blessed with the ability to play it. 95,000 players enjoy it, yet still there are 5,000 holdouts (for the record, they STILL play it as if we're forcing them at gunpoint,) who sign up on the forum, and bitch the whole time. They are unlikely to find a soft spot in Rocket's heart. -

Unconventional Weapons: Non-Lethals, Homemade and more

One: Non-lethal weaponry. Hell yes! Absolutely, 100% for this suggestion, simply for this single idea. This is worth a separate topic for visibility. Haven't seen it before. Non-lethal options will make a world of difference in the morality of the game, robbery over murder, an entire new dynamic. Two: Poisons.. Poison water in a loot pile, hide, wait for a player to take the loot pile. Follow them for a 3 hour game session, until they drink the water. They gag, melt, what have you, you steal they're things. Totally impractical, but why the hell not, another dynamic to work through never hurts. Three: Homemade weapons instead of a Makarov to get new players going would be cool. Especially if (when) melee is introduced. Four: Jerry Can IED's. Cool. Five: Molotov cocktails are on the way, if I read a Dev post correctly a few weeks ago. -

I personally don't want any additional immersion breaking UI. I'm not sure how to handle this one. Moving lips would be nice, but from a distance it'd be just as worthless.

Dynamic / Atmospheric Zombie Sound and Environment Interaction

I already feel a great deal of tension sneaking through towns, day or night. I also have to regularly coach a new player when its good to engage a Zed, and when its not.. even if the Zed is just a stones throw away. If others with a keen ear have already figured out the entire dialect, along with the AI movements, of a Zed without fail. more power to than - I personally find them difficult and random as it is, even with over 3 weeks of play time in. -
Suggestion Zombie Spawn Rates Rural vs Urban

The zombie spawns are based on buildings - a certain amount spawns around each type of building. As it stands, because rural and city building counterparts are the same, the only way to reduce Zeds is overall.. This is, of course, as of right now. I'm sure the Devs could lower the spawns one way or another. I like the idea, and it has my vote. -
I'd love to see better multiple survivor skins from the start (which is already sort-of there.. the skins can vary from one player's view to another, strange) and i'd also love to see dozens of lootable generic skins.

I've seen some kids try to use a match on a real jerry can in the middle of a country road once. It only succeeded in creating an instant no-eyebrow makeover. A match would also be on the far end of worthless as a light source, unless its one of those super-long comedy matches for lighting grills.

There are some servers that run on inverted time scales. Find them and remember them. The Devs have for the most part put it in stone that the 1/1 timescale will stay.

I just ran into a situation earlier where the kill message killed the tension of the battle. During the firefight, the person dropped into what looked exactly like a prone position from where I was. I was prepared to continue the engagement till the message showed otherwise. I agree here, even though it was working to my advantage. -

Looking for clarification on cars/tents

Some more details for the both of you. When a tent is placed in game successfully, which as of the current build is already very difficult, it will remain in that server as long as you are alive. If the server is shut down traditionally, as in for a reason OTHER than the normal server reset, the tent can dissapear UNTIL the next normal server rest. It will than appear again. It may also vanish due to various Alpha stage bugs, though this isn't, in a word, common. Vehicles can be affected by the same bugs. Tents will vanish 48 (i believe) hours after death of owner.
