Why does this game punich you for going OFFLINE?!
Bandit Hunter replied to zalman's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Drop out of school, quit your job. Take great measures to provide safety in a zombie apocalypse. -
Takistan would be dark. Justa sayin. It gets dark at like 5, and doesn't get bright till 5.

I like temp, it gives me something to worry about while surviving in the NE woods, because other players are not a great risk.

Bandit Hunter replied to letstalkaboutdune's topic in New Player Discussion
There can be good stuff, but I don't consider it worth the hassel. -

This is why I love banditry.
Bandit Hunter replied to Burst75's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Wow high score! Congratulations you won DayZ! A smile comes to my face reading bandit threads.. its just hysterical that people cheer every time they act out antisocial behavior. As if they're the ones doing well in life. Keep at it bandits, i'm sure you'll get that high score some time. Try not to kick the dog on your way to the bathroom. -
Which T-Shirt design would you buy?
Bandit Hunter replied to mattlightfoot's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
ONE! By far. -
Did anyone buy Arma 2 solely for this mod?
Bandit Hunter replied to billyangstadt's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I bought Arma II last year, to fly helicopters in circles. I put 100 hours into flying helicopters in circles before DayZ finally gave the game purpose. -
Vehicules and tents Tips and Tricks anyone?
Bandit Hunter replied to djklassified's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've found tents in grocery stores in various towns, and I think I found one in an apartment building, though i'm not positive. -
What do we call our undead friends?
Bandit Hunter replied to LondonHyena's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I call them Zeds because everyone else calls them Zeds. They're obviously not zombies due to they're lightning agility and apparent military training. I had no idea I was stealing some cultures honor, mate. -
First kill... hated it :( Thanks the devs!
Bandit Hunter replied to mikyjax's topic in New Player Discussion
I had this same feeling way back on my first day. I fired at somebody in the back, just because. He said "oh dang....." in chat. It hit me HARD, the fact that he'd just been walking along, possibly working all day, and I came up and shot him.. just because. I thought, maybe if i'd told him to stop and drop his gun on the floor, or if i'd just turned and walked away, life would have been better for both of us. Since day one, since that kill, i've never harmed unnecessarily. Only to protect myself, my group, or naive survivors in need. I also hunt and kill bandits that brag about killings in Side channel, I don't consider them DayZ players. -

my first few hours in / suggestions
Bandit Hunter replied to jooky (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
There is loot throughout the map, not just in the two large cities. You'll learn how to work around Zeds with practice. Night is a discussion beaten to death. There are inverted-timescale servers, find them and remember them. Where there are empty cans, there is usually loot. Often, its already been taken by somebody else. It'll re spawn shortly. Sneak, sneak, sneak, low crawl, low crawl. -
Patience. This isn't GTA or CoD or anything of the sort. To effectively hide from both players and zombies, you need to drop to the ground and low crawl, period. If you find yourself outside of an apartment building you want to loot, stop and watch the building for a few minuets. You'll learn little tricks for yourself over time. You can find most mid-level equipment in low-risk barns throughout the map, and even some high-level equipment in deer stands. You'll be able to raid the most deadly locations if you learn to lay down, watch the area for some time, and very carefully sneak around. The worst enemy is other players, and a players worst enemy is the fact that they're human. Use that to your advantage. Out-think other players, be quicker and stealthier than they can process, just like real life. You'll learn to make it soon, keep at it.

For those who complain about/dislike temperature
Bandit Hunter replied to Addest's topic in New Player Discussion
Its for the most part fixed, as i'm sure others have stated. -
If you're grouping with just another survivor, even temporarily, (and are using steam,) you can use steam voice call as in-game chat. Other choices are Skype, Teamspeak, ect. Many organized groups already have a teamspeak set up.

Will zombies back off if you keep running?
Bandit Hunter replied to RaedwulfGamer's topic in New Player Discussion
Running up a steep hill diagonally can buy you some time, as welll. -
Some servers set around 200-300 zombies across the map. I've seen servers with 1300 as well. Perhaps you we're in an off server, but at times its nearly impossible to get through a small town.

Falling Damage/Breaking of the Legs NEEDS to be triggered less
Bandit Hunter replied to Powell (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Correct, you are not the only one who experienced it. Live and learn I suppose. I'm not so much concerned with this, but glitched ladders than are slightly off on the top, and force you to fall as soon as you hop off, resulting in said trauma. -
Why you want survive in zombie world with not woman alive?
Bandit Hunter replied to filaz's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Perhaps your in a quarantine zone for one reason or another. If you don't take a bandit bullet to the head, maybe you go back home to your wife at the end of your tour of duty. -

I've got a YouTube playlist of Stalker and Metro 2033 guitar songs. I may not be the only one, it seems!
