Put more random themed vehicles (like helicopters). You can enter a city and find an ambulance, or a police car, or both, or none... Inside cities: - Ambulances: medical stuff. - Police cars: police weapons. Roads: - Delivery trucks: Food, beverages, car parts. -

Randomize loot spawns, make the online loot maps as useless as possible. Hide number of current players at the server, so you don´t know if there are 5, 10, or 40 players. If a player is killed by a zombie, his dead body turns into a zombie (npc), carrying his stuff, you hill him, you loot him. Make weight important (speed, thirsty, hungry) -

My idea: Now is so easy to search for a low populated server, go to stary sobor, nw airfield, hospitals, etc. and get nice items. What about hiding the server population at the lobby? You would never know if there are 5, 15, or 40 players, and that would make it more realistic. Well, the population would be unknown for the players and local server admins (if possible), the hive would see everything just like now, to control server hopping and farming. And as long as this is a "realistic" survival game, what is more realistic than not knowing how many people are out there, trying to survive over you.

Very nice idea, i love it. You must use a vehicle to move them. Its a great idea for the camps.
