Hello Throbin, If you had less than 40 players before the restriction was placed, then you should be ok. It is generally for new servers. I think it has less to do with the 5 man servers and more to do with hive usage. When there are tons of little servers spamming the hive it can cause massive desync issues. Johnny -

Hey Creepy, we most normally play on our EU servers late at night and US during the day. I have absolutely no clue why since they are all on the same times. -

Easy, you set it to an organized structure. I have a rank system set up.The system was already in place from the 1stCav (the unit that CQF is a part of). So I just adapted and made 3rd and 4th Platoons the CQF. NCO's and officers are good at what they do :) Johnny -

Hi Vilayer guys ;) Since this revamp my server now has reverted back to the wrong name and slot count similar to when you first set up the server which Lee said was a bug and i can not get access to it via the ACP properly or by using Arma2 Rcon but however the server is online and connectable. However, due to the absolutely high amount of requests from people to get DayZ servers, that agree to the with the company and are therefore agreeing to DayZ Devs regulations, that have stated that they do not wish to follow the protocol of the devs has put not only us but many other hosters in a tight spot. I apologize for the post, as we have already worked with Mike to sort him out with his dedi. However, I can assure you that we are 100% dedicated to seeing this mod flow and succeed. Here's the issue here. Clearly some devs are mistaken when Identifying hacks and server owners have no clear direction on this. Our Scripts.txt file isn't even updated -

unfortunately Betaman, we are not able to put reserve slots on servers. It is against the DayZ rules at this time. If you message us on TS we can give you some tips to make it so that your server isn't being spammed. Johnny -

Hello Mr Trust, The Dev team has stated to the hosters that 40 slots is the required minimum for servers. Some of the servers you see are non-compliant and will run into trouble sooner or later, others are not whitelisted and even more are being grandfathered into the 40 slot minimum. As for heavily managed servers, check out www.vilayer.com and order an ArmA 2 DayZ server from the gameservers page. When ordering use 15%dayz as a discount code and you will get 15% off :) Vilayer manages servers, sets them up and pushes updates automatically. All you have to do is change a few naming and difficulty settings and restart the server. PM me if you have questions :) Johnny -

Hey Guys, If you look at my other posts in forums, you will see that I humbly admit that I know bad eggs will slip through the cracks. I'm really not that stupid, I can figure that much out. Do I know I have had or will have a member that's a pile of crap and decides to go around mucking up the CQF image, your damn right I think that will happen. Steps can be taken to counter this issue of fake tags and bad members. -First, squad XMLs, like dehydrated water said will help with real VS fake players. -Second, encourage people to keep the style of play up, while also encouraging reporting of detractors (many people feel this is "narcing", but its not). -Third, maintain a heavy presence of command. For me, I don't strictly have NCOs watch over certain groups, they just keep an eye out in general. I have more, but thats just a few things I merely posted this for multiple reasons, NwO people coming on my servers and KoS people (I really hope everyone is not naive enough to think ALL have fake tags, while some might, I doubt all do). I will I know I will never reach perfection, I do know that the vast majority of my members uphold the image I started the CQF with. Because of this, people come to us when they are wronged by any bandit or anyone and we try to help (in a limited capacity). I have had quite a few known friendlies come to me and tell me about them. But I also did this as a roleplaying sort of thing. If you look at my original post about CQF, you will see some incorporation. Have a nice day Johnny -
Hey Guys, I need help with my logs. I am no longer seeing hacks in my log, only normal game things. It just shows stuff that isn't hacking and its making about 3/4 of a GB txt file a day. Thanks Johnny

reidlos, As far as interactions with my members, the only ones I have heard of are the ones where my guys usually end up wounded or dead from somebody with NwO tags that was supposed to be friendly. Not to mention, the 7 or 8 members I have that left you guys and came to us have declared there are days where people go bandit and change their tags to kill. I mean, I was personally shot at by some of you guys whilest I was leading a platoon to extract 3 survivors. Its not about what you guys want to do, its about what you're doing. Like I said, CQF has about 300 members and 10-12 new ones a day, so I know how gowing unexpectedly works. Crack down and clean house before your reputation is cracked permanently. If you need administrative advice, the CQF (AKA 1Cav everywhere else) has been around for 3.5 years and has a very stable organization, I'm sure some staff would be willing to help if requested. Get your house in order :) Johnny -

Also, In accords with other Survivor Groups, you're either friendly or you're a bandit. Reports of members of NWO shooting on sight as well as going bandit for a day or so then switching back seems counterproductive to the Survivor way of life. Please respond at your convience, LTC Still (Johnny) -

Hey Mike, 1. No, the differences wouldn't be that important for you since you really only need the basic one 2. Probably not, as it is heavily tied into the beta 3. Thats a Lee question, just PM him on skype :) 4. I'm not quite sure what you mean here, but the only 100% true access is with a dedicated with RDP 5.yes 6. In the dayz server configuration file. 7. You will have to install. 8. If you by a regular server, it is REQUIRED to be whitelisted, as we put 4 of these servers a box. Passwording one of these servers runs the risk of having someone else on the box blacklisted as well. Mike, overall, I don't think that you completely understand. With DayZ, either you're whitelisted or you really aren't playing DayZ. Having access to the hive is extremely important, its not just settling for 2 different characters. Having hive access means zombies and loot spawns work properly. Also, not being whitelisted will not allow you to get updates for the mod, as you have to be. If you were somehow able to get access, I will almost guarantee that the dev team would take weeks upon weeks to respond to an inquiries. Again, I urge you to whitelist as this is highly highly discouraged by the dev team. :) Johnny
