max ping is set by server admin via battleye config when the server boots up. unless a admin is kicking you directly i dont see much of a problem. my server is set at a lowball of 20 but i see people with 100~140 ping log in with no issues. but everytime i check the logs it mainly kicks people with 160+

do you have a map? if not look at the sky. you are most likely to be in the area in the west out in the open field of nothing ness. start running east to reach the forest.Kamenka is not far from the forest

quick fix, abort and leave your current server, close down arma2. join the same server with new arma2 window, graphical rendering issues should be solved

did you join a server yet before getting the black screen?

is it on your tool belt? if it is remove it from tool belt, it will be in your rifle slot if you are unarmed. press r for reload

The less blood you have while passed out the slower the timer will tick for,

L4D2 the zombies are homed into your location regardless of sight or hearing. in Dayz it's about sniping people not zombies

Driving the first vehicle you find then accidently crashing into a tree, you are passed out, bleeding with 2k blood remaining with a broken leg. Doing a suicide mission at night when it's pitch black with zombies in close range. toss a couple of road flares to light up the sky and your current location, and pull out your rifle and firing into the sky to get the local camping snipers kill.

use smoke grenades for cover. well it draws zombies to the smoke location but reduces your chances of being shot in the confusion. if you're being shot at night. if you know the general location of the sniper find a wall and launch road flares to their location. the throwing distance of the object can be launch quite high and often if it lands near the sniper they normally get up and start jetting.

make sure you're on a hive server if you want saved progress. if you use the dayz commander app you'll find around 2300ish servers, 30 of them are locked, and 862 of them are not connected to the hive

i am guessing you are getting your hosting service from vilayer. In their control panel . i want you to click on the server ( it drops down a menu ) i know just click the server. click on updates if you're getting that error most likely the patch has been apply to your server already

well you could do it manually without modifying anything cept for the time zone changer on your server config if you have one.just take down the server, change the time setting and save, fire the server back up. takes less than one minute, but you have to know which timezone in the world is currently night. Did some test on my server, around 9 pm EST my time, i set the server to UTC -6 it's like 10 am ~12 pm in game. you can mess with the time zone change to adjust for the daytime

never alt tab while in game, i carry around the pdw. since pistols do about the same damage you get 15~20 shots in one clip with the uzi

tents are usually located in the grocery store. there's at least 1 in every 5 towns you look inAs for filled tents with the goodies. mostly on the northern edge of the map. and variety of different places on some other servers like The lighthouse between cherno and electro. on sniper hill on the very top of the mountain. you can light flares or fireplaces and no one can see it from the road.

when your game goes not responding, which part is not responding? Battleye not responding or the game freezing and you have to use task manager to close it

so on the six launcher, when you type the name out on the top search bar. you dont get the same server? like US servers you type in "US" then if it's US116 it doesnt show up for both of you?

Go to dayzcommander.com and download the client and run it, go to the Versions tab , click on "check now" and you'll get links to install the latest versions. You can uninstall the dayzcommander client later if you want and reuse the six launcher to play the alpha.

This mod is still in alpha, so it's not a completed product so Dayz Tech support are freebie jobs, most troubleshooting you'll get help from the community. Try this, go to dayzcommander.com and download the client. After you installed it and run it, on the right hand corner look for a tab called Versions. click on it. You will get two options "Check Now" and "Done". Click on Check Now to see if you're up to date, if not go ahead and install the latest patches. After you have the latest it should look like Arma2 Revision: 95417 Dayz : 1.7.2.4 Click done when you are finished. Hit refresh on all servers and try to join one that is within the good ping limit. ( it will help you load faster ) edit: There are some servers in limbo. And you'll either get Battleye is not responding ( you'll get kicked for it ), Or you'll get into a server and after clicking ok, you'll come to a loading screen that will be stuck for a good 15 to 20 minutes you decide to give up( this happens to servers that have just been restarted or fired back up after it was shutdown ). If all else fails please post the specs your system that you are trying to play on.

Most likely it's a ping issue. Try to stay around 100ish ping on most servers, most admins will kick if you have 200+.

Did you have a hunting knife and gut the animal? You could run around in a big circle and kill off the farm animals with no hunting knife, you cant loot anything. If not go back to town and find a knife and try again
