Reposting because a mod wanted me to make it discussable. So recently I have tried an experiment of working as a doctor in Cherno/Elektro. I empty my inventory of everything but bloodpacks and bandages, drop my weapon and pack, then stand in the church and advertise that I'm just here to transfusion people. (Trying to reach 10000 humanity). I can understand bandits killing me (because they're assholes and just like to kill people for no reason). But so far the 2 people who have came in and killed me were idiots with makarovs who missed about 20 shots before finally hitting me. Has anyone else ran into people who just have no clue what they are doing?

I feel the only thing wrong with the infected's movement as it is the the fact that they are unable to attack while moving. As it is you can exploit the fact that they will stop to attack to get them to freeze in place while you shoot them. Also I would say if possible slow the speed it is possible to run backwards at so players must make distance with stairs/fences/ladders before attacking instead of just running backwards.

Maybe if your clan name wasn't so cliche and overused other people wouldn't be using it... Just change your tags to LGN or something

10000 humanity and not killing people yes. I do not want to kill anyone even if they are shooting at me. The people who have killed me so far have all been terrible and easy to kill but it goes against what I'm aiming for.

Direct chat is broken. Pretty much every suggestion in this thread is of the mindset I definitely DON'T want. It causes most of the problems I have.

Well honestly I feel that bodyguards are less secure because then you actually become a target. Being solo actually makes me feel more secure.

Had 240. Was killed by a hitbox glitch insteracting with rooves.

My line of thinking is like the wandering medics in Fallout. They wander around and heal people. Nobody fucks with them because they benefit everyone. But yeah people in this are dicks. Also having some luck now. 2 bandits came in seperately and got transfusions. No firefights. Looking good. If you're in cherno and need a transfusion I'm in chicago 1 blues. Please don't be a dick. EDIT: Going to sleep now. Had some people on the server recognize me. I figure if I keep doing this across multiple servers for a week or two people will begin to recognize and trust me. Because of the fact that I don't plan on starting a group right away (maybe in the future) my strategy is to spawn near cherno or elektro, get bloodpacks from hospital, then set up in church behind pulpit. Hope this works better over time once people recognize me more.

Those were doctor zombies. They spawn in hospitals and on the roof. Zombies fall off roofs a lot.

Well it could be a combination of shore bandits and people suiciding to respawn at other cities.

I had a glitched death and then a glitch spawn in the middle of nowhere. There is some NPC here who I can greet and ask about location and weather etc. Anyone else know anything about NPCs? His name is George Smith Btw There's also a sheep out here. Wandering around. Hope an admin can get me back to the map.

Date/Time:Today 5 minutes ago. What happened:I got a glitched death with sliding off of a roof and then respawned in the middle of nowhere. Where you were: NW airfield before. After just some flatish area with nothing in it. No map can't check where i am. What you were doing: I was on a roof and then I slid off and died. Date/Time: Today What happened: On a rooftop with a zombie aggroed on to me. Character starts freaking out. Where you were: NW airfield What you were doing: With the most recent patch character panick noises have been added while you are being attacked by zombies. I noticed it's not so much attacked but more like when the zombies aggro on to you. Date/Time:Today (5/15/12) About 10 minutes ago (8:54 PST) What happened: Slid off of a rooftop and fell to my death. Where you were: Tower building north of hangars in NW airfield. What you were doing: I was looking down at a zombie who was aggroed on me on the ground. I had about my right foot over the edge of the building. I did not have my hand on the keyboard or mouse I was just looking at the zombie. All of a sudden my character slid off of the roof and fell which resulted in me dying. I was aiming for a 500 zombies killed character and I was up to about 240. I had a DMR sniper with 5 mags and a bunch of other valuable stuff. *Current installed version: v1.5.7 *Server(s) you were on: Virginia 6 *Your system specs: Radeon 6850 Athlon II 4G RAM *Timeline of events before/after error: I climbed on the roof and a zombie aggroed on to me. I was watching it at the foot of the building.
