OP there are people that do not KOS, but many others that feel that's the whole point of the game is to kill anyone and everyone you see no matter what...its even gotten so bad some even kill unarmed players. What I would suggest is you make friends here on the forums first, then try to find some decent people to join up with in game? Good Luck...and don't give up! :) -

Anyone else use Gametracker to advertise their server? For some reason it appears as a link even though when I created it as a signature it looked ok but here obviously its not working correct...any ideas?

There is a thread at the top that says to take all global bans up with BattleEye..they can't do anything about it here!

Provided you did not do the hack, and its a legitimate item that normally found in game you should be fine.

I am a admin on US 1476 sadly unless you have proof of the hackers not much can be done. After getting proof you need to submit it here (check for a thread on how to report hacks/cheats) for a potential global ban, the admins themselves are not allowed to ban afaik! Sorry to hear you had issues, sadly hackers have been busy on everyone's servers recently. :(

We have had major hacking issues this past week on US 1476 one resulting in a complete reinstall by the hosting company. Sadly hacking it rampant and while we try to keep hackers kicked without proof that's all we can do. If you find our server down as it was last night, its because the hacking got to bad we had to shut it down for a few hours! -

We had 3 helicopters and a mass of other vehicles spawned by hackers 2 times today, needless to say as we can't babysit the server all night it will be down until someone can keep a eye on whats going on and keep the hackers kicked! -

What exactly are you checking to find out who's hacking I would love to be able to kick these guys as they log in, but have been unable to locate the correct log file with the info? -
Look at it this way if your part of a group normally you all contribute to these camps, so makes sense they don't magically go poof when you die? Also camps can be raided so there is always risk involved when you have a camp...I personally think its fine the way it works now!

Was looking at the weapons via DayZ DB and don't even see that M136 weapon? Oh that's the rocket launcher....good luck with your trade! :)

Our server US 1476 was hacked last night, not the normal thunderdome etc hack but a more malicious one trying to change server slots and so forth. So needless to say until further notice ours is off line as well! OP I suggest you pay for a server deal with hackers and so forth then you might have a idea why its so frustrating for the admins, (who are not all hackers despite what some silly people believe) there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes you may not be aware of and slightly more important then all that cool gear you may or may not lose!

This player keeps logging in and out ...I finally kicked him and if he keeps doing it would like to ban, as he has no reason to be logging in and out over and over within a such a short period. What are players doing when they are logging in and out like this?

I have those issues also and have never left the game so many times to clear it up, and if hes parked there then he's trying to force respawn on items and or duping! (imho) -

How do you ban ..I know you need player ID and to edit or create a ban.txt in the main arma 2 directory correct? Have a feeling will be needing this soon so if someone could explain exactly or direct me to a thread that explains it would be great! :) -

He has logged in over the past few days and keeps doing the same thing ...anyone know where I find the Player ID hitting P in game does not show me that info for some reason? -
Could someone direct me to the file that contains this setting? I checked the cfg files I could find and unable to locate this setting...I must be blind! I searched was unable to find anything about this specifically any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Due to drama and more hassle then its worth we will not be renewing our server US 1476, wanted to post this before some kind soul tried to donate! ;) If you play on our server you have about 11 days before the server is down, sorry for the inconvenience. -
While many will tell you to not trade its too risky, I would say (imho) its well worth the risk! Case and point had a M24 and since I am not the sniper type decided to try and trade it for something more useful to me. Posted the rifle here in these forums and had a few its a waste of time comments and so forth and a few more useful suggestions, anyway make a long story short ended up trading with 3 guys and got a nice silenced rifle and other items ...best part is made 3 new friends that I now travel with.
