    Weapon and Ammunition Rarity (Discussion)

I like your ideas, especially about the large amount of ammo we find. I think one of the problems is that atm all the magazines seem to be full when you find them. Especially for the double taped mags (which I think should have to be crafted and not found, and still require a reload to switch between each one, so in effect is really just an inventory space saver rather than an extra large mag) this is alot of ammo to find in one spot.

    Weapon and Ammunition Rarity (Discussion)

I would love for ammo and well maintained weapons to be exceedingly rare. I think most of the weapons you find should be in a pretty grim state, with diminished accuracy and being prone to jamming. A weapon cleaning kit should be as much a god-send as a saline bag is now and weapons should require regular maintenance. I would like for an m4 with 1 half full 60 round magazine and a scratched to shit acog to be considered end-game. I'm not sure if this would truly change player behaviour, but it would make for a more immersive experience. I 100% believe the weapon/ammo distribution we currently see is purely because we are in alpha. I hope in a couple of months all the "so I found my 5th m4 and I have 500 bullets, what do I do now?" complaints will change to "Why are m4's so rare? This is unfair, it was better in alpha." whines. Ofc making ammo/weapons rare as shit wont matter much when a player can hit 10 servers and 10 different barracks in 5 minutes.
  3. All I see a stat system/skill tree doing is creating even more whine. Dying will be even more soul destroying for many players. The bandit/kos players wont care because most of them travel in packs that can and will cover their weaknesses on a fresh spawn. The people that are getting held up now wont suddenly learn to avoid being robbed because they have a beard, if losing all the gear they spent the last 5 hours getting isn't enough of an incentive to effectively protect themselves, a beard wont change anything. All it will do is turn these players away because you just added another layer of loss to their death. Nothing you can add to the game will make people value their lives as much as we do in real life, because you will always respawn. I would love it if my character grew a beard, but I would never submit to a robbery on the off chance it would save my life (and therefore my beard). The same goes for +5 woodchopping or "Your character has been alive for blabla hours" stat tracking.
