    Murder and NVG's

    NVGs spawn in the south too.. one of my clanmates found some at balota.. they're rare.. deal with it.. ive never found anyone with them.. Server hopping needs to be fixed I agree, as well as ghosting.

    The Ghille suit bug only happens on servers running 1.7.0 WITHOUT the beta patch. Beta patch fixes this. I've been wearing a ghille suit for 2 days now. Thing is freaking awesome too.
  4. I would like to suggest a forum section for "Battle Eye Ban Appeals" Now, this wouldn't be for anyone to actually get their ban appealed. The only purpose of this section would be for everyone else to enjoy the delicious tears of the hackers. The ban appeals section is nice for this, but I'd like to have the hacker tears concentrated into a single section, and the other stuff (people fighting with server admins) relegated to the original section. Dayz staff, I can haz moar hacker tearz?

    Darwin List: Banned Users

    I've never met anyone who has ever received a global ban, because I don't associate with hackers/cheaters. Innocent people don't get banned, it just doesn't happen.

    -1 Terrible idea. You're gonna sit here and tell me that you get hit with a 7.62 X 45 round in the torso, and you can just run away? I don't think so dude. Having those high caliber rounds do catastrophic damage is correct. The injury system actually works pretty well as it is.

    Overall I'd agree with the OP. Food should be more scarce, and hunger over time should have a cumulative effect. Ammo should be more scarce too, especially when it becomes possible to escape/hide from zombies. Server hopping I think is something that will get remedied eventually because people will be stuck on a specific cluster of servers, and there will be cooldowns and stuff.

    Impossible to do. Absolutely impossible. Maybe if this game wasn't on an open platform, like an xbox or something, you could do this. Would never work on PC. Not even close to feasible.

    Rocket, You did the right thing. He abused your IP even after you were kind enough to give him access to the source (for the good of the community). He released it w/o permission and hackers even got to testing their hacks with it. An absolute outrage, and he should feel the wrath of whatever action, legal or not, that you can bring to bear against him. Next time, legally binding non-disclosure agreements.

    a way to flip ATVs back over

    We had flipped ours back over with another one earlier. Basically by ramming it. We tried doing that again, but the ATV I was on caught fire and exploded (and killed me in the process)... Too bad cause we almost had it.

  15. * [FIXED] Bodies being deleted immediately (now will stay around for 5 minutes) So before this last patch, player corpses would stay around a long time, I think until server restart. 5 minutes is not nearly long enough. a) It added a good gameplay element, one I even took for granted, because it was possible to find player corpses while looting and get some serious gear. Sometimes the player had been overwhelmed by zeds, sometimes it was two players who had killed eachother. Either way, it was a nice bonus to find these things sometimes. b) There have been a number of times where me and my pals have come out on top of a firefight, but have been pinned down by snipers or zeds or something else, and have erred on the side of caution and waited before looting. Sometimes upwards of 30 minutes if we get pinned down bad enough. It would be nice to have a chance to loot those corpses before they despawn, rather than just have them disappear due to some mechanic. But I digress, I'm guessing the need to have corpses be deleted has to do with the stress all those dead players and their inventories put on the servers so I offer this solution: After a player has looted a corpse, then a timeout countdown starts, once the timeout expires, then the corpse is deleted. Discuss!

    Safe Zones.

    I guess you could try to set one up in one of the castles or something. I'd just infiltrate and loot all your tents, steal your cars, and hopefully C4 will be in the game by then, so I can touch off all my c4 as I drive away laughing.

    +1 to this. I would love an ammo bandolier. Even if you had to find it and have it take up space in the tool slots, I would be into that.

  21. Rocket is never gonna make zones for trade or non-PK zones. Further more, if there was a "No PK building" I for one, would sit outside of it and kill people entering/exiting.

    Remove Centralized system

    I made a post about Dayz server topology that would in theory increase efficiency and preserve persistence. Apparently it's something the Dev's have been working on. This is a dupe post. The system is slow and less than perfect because the game is a) in alpha b) low-budget
  23. There should be a way to create little hidden supply caches. Other players would be able to find them and loot them of course, but they wouldn't be as large as tents, or as conspicuous. So maybe they'd store about as much as a coyote patrol pack, just enough to stash some food, water, or ammo. The other thing about them - they should be persistent in a server, across deaths. Should tents be persistent as well? I feel like they should, or at least the timeout should be increased. I've been putting every free minute into playing this game but I don't always have time to get all the way across the map. It'd be nice to be able to die on a Sunday, not play until the following Friday, and know that my tent will still be there (although it may have been looted :( by other players.) Discuss!
