Its not as hard as it sounds to meet up though. Theres only a few places you really spawn, either you guys will spawn close enough to each other to meet up or one of you guys can keep just respawning till you spawn close enough to meet up(You don't have anything to lose at the start). Just be sure to pay attention to the text on the right that comes up telling you where you are! Or you're going to have a bad time.

I recently bought the VPS version. I'd just like to recommend Host Altitude to anyone who is thinking about acquiring a Day-Z server!

Hey Everyone, I'm curious into the idea of setting up a server. How should I possibly go about this? Can I procure a dedicated server from a provider and use that? I lack the resources to set up a server in my home sadly. If I can use a dedicated server I procure does anyone have any recommendations?(I don't want to break my bank, just want a server my friends and I can be familiar with as well as wanting to help relieve the server lack.) I really like the idea of incentives for cooperation. I am extremely interested in the idea of a bunker-esque structure. I think it could allow for communities to develop cause now you don't have to worry about people stealing stuff from your tent.

Sorry to hijack your thread Hooligan, But I have the same question. I lack all the requirements to run a server short of access to electricity.. So I wouldn't mind procuring a server. Is there someone to talk to about this? Not to sound anal, but I am not looking to spend a large sum of money on this, but I am willing to spend on it. I appreciate anyone who offers help or guidance!
