i don't have allot of expertise with pc's, what would you recommend for me to get i can probably buy it if i save up for a month or 2

well i live on a student income i don't really have much cash to spare on my pc i mainly used thisone for youtube while playing on xbox im glad i could've buyd 1gig of ram and a cpu for 10$ cant i just change some settings to give more power to my cpu or something also this is the screenshot

i was lost in some bigass forest, took me well over 5hours just to find a road just so some faggot could suddenly appear infront of me and blast my face with a sniper

well basically my pc is shit having a cpu from 2002 and 1gig of ram i can run most games on low but arma seems to fuck my pc over compleatly, if i zoom my gun in my game will freeze for 10seconds, giving the zombie plenty of time to hit me thus making me lose my first 2 weapons the only upside abouth my pc is my video card is there a way to make arma run more on my video card memory instead of my cpu?

i just bought arma2 on steamsale and i cant seem to join any server it loads the hanger load screen afterwards it retrieves the mission list then it just gets stuck on a black screen loading for over 2hours now. i tryed just letting it do its thing for a while but its not progressing i installed arma2 and the addon, updated it and let it run afterwards i installed six launcher and let it update till it was finished, did i do something wrong?

my problem has been fixed after updating battleye to 1.165, aperently the top download for battleye is 1.164, why it is that will remain a question for me but seeming after fixing it my game worked perfectly, keap replacing battleye folders till your game shows it as 1.165 instead of 1.164 it seemed to fix it for me but i have no idea which of the 4 folders is the correct one

sadly i have no cash for a real upgrade unless any of you know a good cpu for under 20-30$ id love to give you a idea abouth my system but i have no idea how to show you what is inside

i have no idea then sorry mate, it started working for me after adding the second 2 battleye to both arma2 and oa folders, the battleye folder in program files and the one in my documents

download the bottom 2 for arma, top 2 are 1.164 the 2 below those are the correct ones.

i had the same problem update battleye and make sure you download the second 2 files not the top2 for arma, 1.164 will not load on a server using 1.165 took me well over 8 hours to figure it out for myself

i had the same thing, when you download battleeye get the bottom 2 not the top2, bottom is 1.165 top is 1.164

well i found out that the reason i'm stuck on loading is because i got battleye 1.164 and it freezes on servers that have 1.165, i've tryed manually updating both the arma2: oa and battleye folder in my programs but it refuses to load 1.165 and keeps booting up on 1.164, how do i fix this?

it could be that i've downloaded the wrong battleye, you're suppost to download the top 2 or is it the ones below

i've tryed waiting in the lobby for about 10mins before clicking ok, it will load the hanger screen afterwards i would get a black loading screen which seems to freeze at 99%

it doesent update it just freezes upon the second loading screen for hours, i thought my arma was broken untill i joined a server that didnot tell me to update to 1.165 and it worked just fine the only problem is i cannot find that server anymore

ive been trying to get into dayz for over 8 hours now this is driving me insane, the above fix does nothing at all for me it stil gets stuck on the second loading screen but the dayz servers went from red to yellow
