YEAH that happened to me too man! But when I logged back in, my murder count went back up to 10 where it should be. As did every other stat.

I do appreciate being able to choose a day OR night server regardless of my local time. My work schedule leaves me odd availability and I prefer to play on day time servers in order that my targets move a bit more freely and confidently thinking they've seen everything to see :]

This. I have NVGs and an L85a2.. so I prefer to play at night. Even if other players have NVGs, the thermal still far outperforms. And for general running around, night vision is clear as day. I'd say NVGs are the best item in the game.

People are happy to be negative and angry... and they fight hard to justify it and stay that way. As a Day Z player it's hard justifying the expansion packs just for the textures... I mean I'm pretty sure they add new missions, guns and vehicles in arma II.. but I don't play Arma II.. Ah well, we'll see. :]

Welcome to the fucking internet. If you play online games you'll run into hackers. Especially in the FPS community. It happens. Rest assured they're not really having much fun and try to avoid them.

Are you saying... OKAY I found ONE other thread complaining about hacking.. and then conclude it's a big problem? IDK. I haven't seen a single hacker in three weeks, and given in this game you're sort of expecting to eat shit eventually, I figure if I don't die to zombies or players by then..let the hacker have me :P I see more hackers in counter strike source. Just try to get the GU ID of the hacker to the server owner and let them expand their ban list. We can't do anything to fix it on the Day Z forums. No dude, you don't understand, Sol is so much more intelligent than us, that by posting his official guide to playing.. He essentially has completed his masterpiece, all the threads have come together and by simply playing the way he bitches, his soul, heart and mind are unified and the universe is in balance. Now some hacker can kill him again, and he can make a new thread about how now he hacks.. NOW the real fun starts. This dude's an attention whoring clown but it sounds like he graduated top of his couldn't afford higher education bracket and I respect that. You'll find him at Walmart getting into arguments with the cart gatherers over parking lot etiquette. But god dammit, he's right and he's not leaving until they fucking get it. It's not because he cares, it's just because he's right.. :] Sol, you'll find very satisfying social gaming in a variety of other games that I could recommend. The vast majority of them hand-hold you right through the process and won't allow you, your friends or some random stranger to ruin the fun. I would love to see your Starcraft 2 thread.. "CAN'T BEAT'M JOIN'M" where you explain how you're zergling rushing every game cause THAT'S ALL THAT WORK.

I know it's not the best rifle, but I really love this gun. I've gotten very used to its zeroing and range, and aside from erratic accuracy when using STANAG SD I find it to be extremely effective. The thermal scope virtually guarantees you see your enemy first or spot the sniper immediately after he fires and allows you to return fire at a very reasonable range. 300m is ideal, but you can lay down some fairly accurate fire at upwards of 500m in my experience. accurate enough for them to take cover at least.

You're really maximizing the boring, though. I mean, if it's max fun to you, so be it. But that's about as boring as you can make it. I definitely love shooting unarmed people on the coast but I generally do that between helping friends with whatever they're up to.. or maybe engaging in a riskier ambush but all together just to liven things up. I mean, I get where you're coming from and I'm very happy for you that no one has taken the time to come and kill you. Let us know what you do after this gets boring lol

You ARE surviving, unless you are refusing to reup on food and drink and just killing people until you die from one thing or another? Just like in real life, you get the shit you need so you can do the shit you want, in this case... you spend time collecting clips so you can enjoy your leisure time capping nubs ;]

But seriously. I do the same thing, I just didn't realize I was making a statement by doing it... I don't figure us shooting at anyone who strays too close is playing wrong, but I don't figure it's playing better either. I know a good amount of long time players who try to avoid fights and expand their groups. Personally I like to play with a group to get supplies and strike out on my own to rack up kills :] I made a thread just recently saying the same, essentially... I like to stock up on all my necessities which usually takes a little hunting around and zombie dodging, maybe help out a friend who needs a transfusion... then I generally pick an area to look for people to shoot at in. I love killing other players, it's a thrill in this game. On this character, I am 8 murders in and I'm enjoying "role playing" (I use the term loosely) the straight psycho. I spend a few hours finding all of the food, water and ammo I need.. I find one of my favorite coastal spots or grocery stores and I wait. I never use bullets unless they have an 80+% chance of hitting and I rarely loot my victims (more due to fear of getting shot than lack of need, although I have little need) I'm more the crazy nam vet in the woods who has been praying for the zombie apocalypse. So, my side point is... we often use moralized terms to describe the way people play here. The victims of those being shot refer to the shooters as immature assholes and the shooters refer to their victims as naive noobs and thus the story goes. I've responded to requests for help on the forum and given people all they needed to be healthy, including a gun, lee enfield,..and then turned my back and walked out.. With my nvgs and L85a2 visible. You can trust people you meet through here, generally, but if you meet in the field of battle... it's always an unwise and losing proposition to "talk to strangers". I don't personally have a problem with this. If I see someone else... I shoot, hide or leave. After the last guy I told to move along, rather than shoot him, ran at my back with an axe while I was fighting zombies... well, I refuse to trust anyone and I would submit that this is the way everyone should play. This game encourages robust communities outside of itself where you can meet many friendly players, but no one should trust anyone they meet in Chernarus itself.
