Tough enough always looking for food and water... once infinite ammo is gone will I still be able to find enough stanag to not have to throw my gun away?

More mags is better now that we won't have easily accessed infinite ammo. I'm carrying 7 mags for my enfield l85a2 and it doesn't seem nearly enough when I'll have to find more every day.

Dying more often is very helpful in this game cause it reminds you... It's not WoW, there are no levels, and aside from survival equipment... gear hardly matters. Gotta live. If you're alive, you're max level, if you're dead... wait to respawn.

How could there be end game content for characters that are not meant to persist for more than a few days anyway? Seems -mid game- content is what would drive the end-game success of this mod... And it is.

Report hacking to someone who cares and can fix it... Like the owner of the server who can actually do some banning? Hacking is not a Day Z issue, it's an Arma 2 issue. . Wtf do you expect anyone here to do aside from tell you they don't care? No one here has the power to do anything more than that anyway.

I don't think anyone cares, honestly. And you're right. This alpha version of a game that you are playing for free is TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE ZERO MONEY YOU SPENT.

I just hate how the nubs run into this game with their console and WoW experience and start asking rocket to change the game according to those standards. Two games which are literally -designed- to be easy to get into and stay into.

How about what I would do in a videogame meant to simulate the real world... I wonder what I'd do.. Wait, I play one called Day Z and I shoot people on sight. Forget what you WOULD do in the REAL world, this is a game. Do what you would do if it were Day Z, not "real life".

Arken, your solution lies in eventually scaling back the availability of all weaponry. Not sure that's going to help the fun-balance of the game, unless your fun has mainly been ruined by other players.. in which case, well, you know what to do :P Listen to this... You give a response to that question as if it's the only true and engaging response. It's clearly not or snipers wouldn't choose to snipe. They aren't doing it for gain, as they generally don't even loot their corpses.. they've decided that sniping is fun for them. Why should your dislike of long range combat end in a game-wide removal of sniper rifles? The new patch limiting ammo will handle it entirely. PvP this game is balanced, I really don't understand all the complaints. Sniper rifles and assault rifles are meant to be un-equivalent, not balanced. Equitable, not equal.

What exactly does that mean? Who are we brown-nosing to and what benefit might they confer on us for such an action? As brown nosing by definition is generally done for favors from a superior. That may make sense in school or at work, but here... I think you need to hit the books and dust off the old family vocabulary.

Wrong. Weapons in Day Z aren't tiered. This. Isn't. WoW. Which weapon takes the least headshots to kill someone? All of them take one :P I say seeing someone first is OP and if someone sees you, you should be notified, so as to make things fair ;]

I don't think you could defend this statement in real life. I'd go so far as to call it fucking retarded. Playing an alpha means taking advantage of every bug you can until you damn well crash the whole server around you...and then making a bug report. What taking advantage of a bug DOESN'T indicate is a person's real life integrity or bravery as neither of the characteristics have anything to do with a zombie simulation leisure activity. Lashing out at someone angrily for doing such a thing, though, and making claims about their character based on it... now that belies some serious personal issues with fulfillment. :)

I think the OP is lying about seeing hackers as often as he is. I've played hours upon hours in game (maybe 70 total game hours over two weeks), server hopping like a fool and never ran into a single hacker...

It's been common knowledge they're spawning again for a week or two. You're still cute, though. To me.

Who needs nametags when you can just set a waypoint as a rangefinder. Range finders are the most useless item in the game.
