Hello, Tonight when I was playing DayZ, I noticed that the night was unusually bright. I didn't even need to screw around with my Gamma or anything to make out shapes in the dark. My friends experienced this too, does this have to do with the latest Arma 2 patch, or am I just going crazy? Also, the zombies seem to be much smarter in finding me and they tend to come in larger hordes now. The only way I seem to avoid aggro is to travel at night, because in the daytime it is so much easier to aggro them. Please offer me an explanation, because all I can think of is the latest Arma patch where they buffed the AI and who knows what stealth changes. I don't even think it's out yet for Steam people, idk.

What do youy do if you see a player

Yeah dude don't trust anybody that doesn't talk in the microphone. They will usually kill you when you turn your back, it just happened to me. The ones with microphones are a little bit better, but still be careful around them. Microphones are a good sign, but it won't determine if he is friendly. -
THANK YOU YOU HAVE MY BEANS

wtf Lost Weapons Randomly and Random Player Lag
Nubbiestn00b posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
My friend, Dominic, and I haven't really played DayZ, so we decided to start playing today. Unfortunately for us noobs, it was around five o'clock in the afternoon and the sun was already beginning to set both in real life and in Arma. We were in completely different parts of the map, according to local road signs and careful usage of dayzmap.info. I was in Electro, and Dominic was in some random village to the west. Still adjusting to the controls, we searched around for wikis and guides to learn how to play. We eventually gathered enough supplies to sustain ourselves, and tried to meet up at Cherno. On the way, I had some nifty adventures and met a couple survivors. I even came across a massive pile of dead survivors with a survivor, armed with a rifle, patrolling nearby. I heard about these kinds of people who killed people on sight, so I stalked him for a while before I got the guts to walk up to him and have a small conversation. He told me the way to Cherno, I gave him a couple sodas, and I went on my way. By the time we arrived, it was already pitch black. Fumbling around with the lanky and totally not intuitive controls, we flicked on our flashlights and continued on through the ruined city. In front of us was a big building lined with red flares. Dominic spotted a man's figure flashing by a window, and told me on Skype to get in position to kill him. We didn't want t We leaned in through the windows, and aimed down the sights for the kill. The guy in the building ran outside with a shotgun, blasting it frantically in an attempt to clip one of us. Unfortunately for him, we had the numbers advantage and he could only fire two shots before having to reload. In the illumination of the red flares, my friend and I blasted him down. Suddenly, half of his body went into the floor and only his torso was visible. I asked my friend, "Is he dead?" Moments later, the torso began shooting at us with its shotgun, barely clipping my friend. We unloaded a bunch of ammunition on the torso, hoping that it would die. It was still reloading, even though it was stuck in the ground and full of our bullets. What the heck? Can someone explain how this happens? Is there a reason that people would vanish halfway through the ground, but are still able to blast us with a shotgun? Also, when we visibly shot him in the head several times, he was still alive and shooting us. After a minute of shooting the torso, he finally died. We quickly looted the body and ran inside the building to share loot. However, I saw the head of a hatchet popping out of the bottom of the staircase of the building. The guy had an accomplice! I rushed him and blasted him with his friend's shotgun. He was still alive, so I dragged him outside to his friend's corpse and ended his life with a headshot. The guy had a bunch of blood packs and assorted medical supplies, which was really helpful since we were quite wounded. Continuing on in Cherno, we came across a Church. We found a crowbar, so Dominic took it. He equipped it, but it screwed up his whole inventory so he tried to reorganize it. In the midst of swapping the crowbar for his AK-47, his AK disappeared. What the heck? Why does this happen? Is there a logical reason for this? We combed the entire Church for the AK, but to no avail. I decided to move around my items too, but my pistol disappeared when I tried to move my flashlight around. It appeared a couple meters away from me under a table. What the heck? Afterwards, I gave my shotgun to my friend since he was now unarmed. I transferred my shotgun to his coyote pack, but it also disappeared when I placed it in there. What the heck? Is there a reason to this? Why? Why you do this? Then, since only I had a pistol, we had to venture out for more weapons. Then, a random girl popped out of nowhere, armed with an AK, and blasted my friend to bits. I took cover and looted an epipen from my friend's body. I shot the girl five times in the chest so she ran away. Then, as I was trying to revive my friend, she ran out of nowhere and teleported to kill me. TLDR; why do weapons disappear and people teleport
