After reading and watching how people play, yeah I expect hostility first. BUT, one month playing, I still warn them in some way to back off or I shoot. Often they still want to chance it, and more often they circle around to try and kill me(yay! pvp). I'm still alive, and still giving one warning. Team up with people you know, or Steam players(they can only trick you once, per arma 2 purchase).

So the "hacker" decided to DRIVE AWAY in your truck, what? He could have nuked the place. What does he need gear for? Hackers spawn gear. You shot at him, failed to kill him, then restarted the server to make sure he didn't get away and save your gear. And turning it off when your not online? wth?

He's reporting a stream. I think someone duping. Problem is an admin had to have been online, read the post then gone to the stream.

Yeah, I would have kept the mk48, you already had the DMR.

They should put a cheap optic on that weapon, 3 bolt ammo, and a flashlight, just to make people pick that weapon up.... but if your feeling "elite" go ahead and try to survive with it. But honestly I'd take it over the hatchet, double barrel and the crowbar.

I don't know if someone suggested this yet but there should be a forum to challenge a clan. Call them to a server and fight in Cherno,elektro, etc. I mean what are you going to do with all that gear anyway?

5 on 5?? hell 20 on 20, I mean you will all spawn on the beach when killed, have a squad in a vehicle to go pickup reinforcements to bring back to the city to get back in the fight, grab loot before you get there or find your body that your squad has been watching over till you got back.

3 is good, having 5 or more, just makes me want to ambush and kill that group... Unless your going to have some sort of gang war in cherno/elektro/etc. against another clan. I don't really see the fun/challenge in rolling around with that big a group.

Huh, he couldn't just play arma 2 to play with vehicles? I used to watch his first dayz vids, got generic a little later. Yeah wont affect everyone badly, but it "could" influence a few players the wrong way.

Oh yeah I just realized why don't you keep both? If you have an alice pack you should have the space. Just keep 5 mags each.

The SD, having an SD weapon when moving around is great. Especially if you agro 1 zombie and dont want to tell everyone else where you are. That m4sd is "THE" gun for a lot of players.

So I was looting a place when a server hopper appeared a few buildings away, watched him on my binocs I guess he was bleeding because he just keeled over dead. I go next to him and find a FN FAL with a night scope on it.... now I have a m4 cco with 5 sd ammo ... but looking down on a more powerful weapon with one clip.... I decided to take it. I get to safety and check the wiki in case I got a hacked weapon, nope, weapon was legit. Well at least the wiki says so. I logged out and now im thinking.... just how rare is this ammo? I realized that I barely remember finding FN FAL ammo, and if this character finds NV I don't really need that NV scope. Did I make a bad trade? FN FAL AN/PVS-4 20 shots ..... hmmm.

I actually like the m14, very nice weapon. But in DAY Z, it is just too fricking loud, I like the grass/tree effects in the game and the mp5sd is just soooo quiet, perfect for the dense woods. I'd trade the fal/m4 for it anytime. Except when people use that f****** e****** to see through trees.

Yeah, slow and cautious. It's not just about crouch-walking, you have to limit the angles where you will be visible. The biggest problems now, is that there are a lot of people who cheat to see through the foliage and darkness.

Well I got alpha bugged, oh well. Logged back in to replace the Fn Fal AVS, but instead I open my back pack and find the m4 cco I dropped along with its SD ammo. My old mp5sd is gone along with other items I picked up after I looted that server hopper, I really liked that mp5sd. To get around this bug in the future is it better to log out with the primary you prefer in your hands? Or do bugs like this always happen when looting server jumpers?

Errr your asking people where they hide their tents? I'm pretty sure they wont tell you. Honestly its different, depending on the server you play in, just keep it away from landmarks/roads to make it hard to find. I don't use tents personally, I just use OTHER peoples tents.

How is the sound level when NOT using subsonic rounds.

Awww crap. Well.... at least it will be fun looking for another gun. I WAS looking for the sd version of my m4 cco since I had so much sd ammo, but its been almost a week so i gave up. And at least I've got to see what this gun is and stay away from it in the future. BTW, DAYZ BS, that optic CAN be switch to a "daytime" mode, what happened? Switch break off when the Helicopter crashed? derp :(

So opening up your map reveals nearby people/zombies, giving instant detection through vegetation/camo. So my question is on servers that DON'T show this "radar" when you open your map, does that mean your also not visible when someone nearby opens up his GPS? Is there a tag for this option on the server name/description? Or is this by difficulty? I don't remember seeing this option the last time I opened a map on a veteran server.

Cant you dive down and drown? Trying to get info in case this happens to me.
