Instances of artifacting havn't been reduced for me. They've also become harder to get rid of. But, I've already posted a bit of a heads up on that and informed whoever read it (if anyone) that it was the same case for 3 of my mates. That might be what people are complaining about.

I've had a few where I've been on the stronger end of the meeting and let them go. Some of them I've actively helped. But mainly me and my mates work on a kill on site response if we've been seen by someone who's armed, worked that one out after a few encounters. Only once have I come across someone (two people actually) who was better armed and let me be. They even gave a an Enfield.

HDR hasn't worked for me yet. Sometimes changing the item quality works. "Flush" command used to work in 1.7.2.4 too but now it makes it worse......

ANZ 7 got hosed tonight. Someone gave us all RPKs and satchels. Lost my Kobra, frag, bunch of other things. But the annoying thing is that I now have a bandit skin to replace my freshly worn ghillie. 0 murders, 0 bandit kills, 110 zombies, 2750 humanity and I look like a bandit!! (not that anyone does in this game anyway but) HOW WILL ANYONE EVER TRUST ME NOW, lol. Saved my AS50 that was in my pack, until it happened again about 15 minutes later. Why don't I learn?

These people learnt how to use a keyboard? However, the only bug I've seen was when I put a new Ghillie on tonight and when I went to put my pack back on, it spawned another (empty) one. I guess they've still got a few issues with them to be sorted out in the future.

I have an Uzi in-game right now. As for the rest though, I'm not too sure how it would sit with the story/background (even if it's not too deep) being that's it's an ex-Soviet nation we're playing in.

This has been well documented/screamed about.

In all honesty I doubt it. Reason being is that the standalone will be using the ArmA3 engine (or so I've read) and I doubt they'd be coding that engine to work with even the next gen consoles (i.e. xbox720). The only game in this series to go onto consoles was Operation Flashpoint (Cold War Crisis, not the codemasters spin-offs) and it didn't fair too well.

Wow, I gave you two answers to cover a few extra bases, one of them not concerning muting VON completely, and that's the best you can do? Not to mention the other poster before me trying to help.

You can press "P", then click on the player (if you know who's voice spamming) and click on "Mute". Or, you could just go into the sound options and turn Voice chat (VOIP or VON in the menu I think) all the way down.

Surely this has already been posted, but...... @Rocket/DayZ Team - Tonight I was watching a mate and his kid playing for a few hours and they were plauged by artifacting just as bad as I had experienced in 1.7.2.4. I haven't been near my PC to update and try so their's is the only example I've got of it. The cause of the issue were the destroyed models of military vehicles and military loot. Another point to all those with "definate, 100% fixes.....", GFX drivers were up-to-date and -flush actually made it worse on more than one occasion. Thanks anyway for your effort, I hope you can clear this one up soon.

Udak, your way of thinking is what has gotten me to day 11. A group of 3 of us (we all know/work with each other) came acoss an unarmed guy once. We gave him an empty revolver and warned him to put it in his bag until he found some ammo, otherwise it would end up getting him shot on site. We went our own way, he went his, and 5 minutes later my mate shot someone who was following us up from 50m behind because he'd tunred around saw them go to ground with something in their hands. Turns out it was a crowbar (and not the same person we met before), but that sort of plan has saved us from a few deaths before and since then.

I learnt to not trust anyone I don't know IRL early on........ I've got about a dozen player kills, all but one was in self-defence (ohhh, and one was revenge for someone trying to get zombies aggro'ed at me). Though tonight I begin hunting bandits. You know, the kind of bandit that hangs around to kill people along the coast. Looking forward to the stalk.

A while ago I was crawling through Balota to get to the airfield, taking my time and being careful. So I was a bit surprised to hear an agro zombie behind me getting closer, and then even more surprised to turn around and see him chasing a guy running past me. He was completely unarmed and did me a solid favour by running around me a bit then disappearing, leaving the zombie to chase me. All I had was a Lee Enfield with 10 rounds so I put one into the zombie's chest, ran to where that guy went to hide and voice chatted to tell him that it was cool, I'd shot the zombie dead and that it was safe to come out. Apparently this guy never heard of revenge. One to his chest, dead. I bolted, survived, got shot at sneaking into the tower at the airfield and got into a loose-loose shootout on the stairs. 10 minutes later my mate turned up, grabbed all the gear, met up with me and we continued on.

Not to mention switching between section channels on the PRR for a quick chat or an RV. It doesn't matter what channel you're in, you hear what's relevant to you i.e. Vehicle chat in the case of DayZ. Only people in your vehicle will hear it.

Me and a mate were raiding a crash site (and doing a rather poor job, I leave him behind when I do this now lol) and a zombie hit me once and that was the end of that. I had plenty of blood too, but I was knocked out for ages and my mate got lost running away from a zombie so he was not going to be of any help. Endstate - dead. Never mind, next run I found two right next to each other, killed a lot of zombies and got an AS50, all on me lonesome.

Westboro?

I know of 3 people who went to explore Green Mountain. They all died within 5 seconds of each other as they were trying to hunt down a mysterious person seen creeping through the woods around there. Five .45ACP rounds later from point blank range and my counter-ambush was achieved, lol. Also, me and a mate rejoined a server inside the tower. He spawned 20m in the air just outside the tower, poor fella.

I did my drivers, after an initial "Oooohhh this might've fixed it," it didn't do the job.

Found this post, pretty recent about it but they seem to realise what's going on and are trying to fix it. So, yeah, don't think it was the drivers..... Maybe I'd just got lucky the few times I tried it after the driver update. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49740-graphical-bugs/

Try updating your gfx drivers. I'd been having the same issue since the last beta patch(ish) and now that I'm using the latest drivers it seems to have fixed it. I ended up using the most recent NVIDIA beta drivers - 304.79
