Before I begin, I'm not complaining. I know getting killed, dying, and losing your stuff is part of the game. The fun is gearing up after you've lost everything. Thought I'd share my disappointment because a friend and I were doing the best we'd ever done. Over a few days we managed to get coyote backpacks loaded with water bottles, medical supplies, all of the survival equipment including an entrenching tool(useless lol) and gps's. I had a DMR in my pack with an M4 for primary, 9 mags, and a G17. Everything minus NODs and ghillis we had. I found a UAZ, or whatever the 4 wheeled jeep is called, and picked up my friend from the airfield. As luck may have it an unlooted helicopter crash was in the middle of the tarmac and my friend found an L8 with Thermal. Today was a good day.....so far. We hightailed it out of the airfield and started looking for other crash sites, figuring our speed would increase our ability to search for them tenfold. While out searching we both see and hear a URAL in the distance but he keeps going another way. We continue our search and find another one! Two helicopter crashes in the span of 10 minutes. My joy was uncontainable. We found another L8 with thermal as well as a.....duh duh duh GHILLI! The first one I'd ever seen. I quickly donned this ghilli and picked my backpack up off the ground. We hopped back into our truck and took off to the east, towards the coast. On the way we saw the URAL again. I told him we're better off if the URAL doesn't know we're here so what does my friend decide to do? Take pot shots at the tires, while it's going full speed, 600 meters away. That lonely URAL driver drove off into the sunset honking. Thinking we'd seen the last of him we found yet another crash site. We'd barely reached the chopper when I hear my friend's leg break, then a gunshot. He's dead within seconds. I go prone behind the chopper opposite of where I heard the shot but I'm hit somehow. I see him up on the ridge taking shots at me and suddenly my leg is broken. I crawl to the truck under a hail of gunfire from this lone bandit and make it into the driver's seat. I drive away as fast as possible, over a hill, and into the tree line. I hop out to keep myself from bleeding to death and I hear an engine. Getting closer......and closer. I just finish giving myself morphine when the truck barrels over the hill, into my UAZ, and throws me 20 meters where I die...........today is a sad day.....

Funny thing is my friend told me to and it didn't register as an option.

I'll take any help I can get. I don't see how people have camps stocked to the brim with two of everything they'd ever need. My friend and I have tried to countlessly looted Eletkro and Cherno then tried to head north for Stary and the Airfield in order to find the "better" weapons. The problem is this takes a long time on foot. I got lucky and found a pickup only to have a car spawn-in underneath said pickup which exploded killing us both. I know the basics, I know where to get basic stuff, but I could use a little help figuring out how to reach the Veteran equipment and stockpiles. Thanks in advance.

Not true at all. I don't want a crutch I was simply at a point in the game that I didn't have a clear picture as of what to do. I did not know if joining a clan would increase my abilities and knowledge as to how they amass so much loot and shiny weapons or if I was just doing it wrong. The first response I got was clearly meant to troll or imply that I am too stupid to continue playing. If someone steps up then so be it but I have a right to step up as well. I'll be nothing but friendly towards someone until they are unfriendly to me. BTW, you can hide behind your semantics all you like. Giving you a valid option to go waste yourself doesn't mean it's a good one or helpful at all.

I've noticed it's a lot quicker to just sprint to wherever you're going, check for loot, and let the zombies wander off or lose them through buildings but that is a great way to get spotted very easily by another player. ZOMBIE TRAIN CHOOOoooOOO CHOOooOOOO! I personally try to sneak around, but always seem to get spotted 50m away when Im crouch walking so have to book it.

Is there a list of great servers that decent players play on?

Honestly this makes a TON of sense. It seems like there is no hope on servers like that because all of the vehicles have already been taken by guys who are basically exploiting. Sucks when an honest guy can't get any good stuff because the clans are riding around cherno in their death machines raiding everything 10x as fast. *EDIT* Btw we don't have any problems getting basic survivial stuff. Packs, food, canteens, knives, matches, basic guns are easy to come by during a quick run in Cherno or Elektro but the highgrade stuff is tough. My buddy was running from Kamenka to Cherno when two guys in Ghillies veered to run him over and break his legs. They both hopped off, gave him morphine, then laid an AS50 on the ground with ammo and told him to wait till they were gone to touch it. Needless to say he waited and let them go on their way. HOW does one possess enough crap that an AS50 is used for apologies???

Thanks for the advice, the only gear we really hurt for is ammo for our military guns and high grade military equipment like Nods. Seems that any time we get close to a chopper a random vehicle shows up and snipers mow us down lol.

Honestly it's probably an even mix but less so on the zombies. My friend and I are able to lose zombies indoors and on hills but we seem to be very susceptible to strange occurences with other players. Playing at night I was in the tower at the Airfield near Begota and had a player I could not see at all open up on me, I had time to look every direction inside the building but saw nothing. Another time we made it all the way to the Airfield and were looting only to have a hacker port everyone on the server to one spot and kill every last person. We honestly find our best loot off of other players but I don't see how anyone can have camps full of this stuff. I've never even seen an m4 sd mag and we found an m4sd with 6 mags of it on a guy who was sniping in Cherno. This guy ran all the way north to get this stuff?

I spent literal days getting great gear, surviving, and making my way north with my friend who we'll call "G". Anyway we finally made it to the airfield for the first time and logged. After logging into US74 I didn't even get a chance to stand up before everyone on the server was dead and a huge group of survivors was dead around me in a field of nothing. This is complete bulls*** and totally ridiculous. Is there anything that can be done? I'm about to officially quit DayZ due to abuse like this.
