Unlucky friend :) but yea the airfield is a dangerous place if you don't know what your doing :P try and keep an eye out for zombie spawns it's a good indicator of how many people are there if there is anyone. Unless your against a sniper then, RUN AND HIDE :D

Hey guys, I'm an old eve- player and I don't know if this is possible now but for the standalone I think this would be a cool idea, maybe it shouldn't be allowed in main area's such as cherno and elektra but for other towns up north I wouldn't see an issue. I was thinking about being able to create ingame factions that can hold down specific area's, once they have collected a specific amount of super rare loot like generators,storage devices, medical loot and placing barbed wire or sandbags in a certain format you could literally take over a town. This would. Remove all zombie spawns in that town / location. Stop loot spawns in that area, except medical supplies / food / drink. Create 2/4 big storage crates. Create a lit area at all times. Players could fight over these locations or even plan ambushes on faction supply routes, making it easier for other clans / factions to whittle down the inhabitants. These area's could be friendly safe zones where the clan is friendly and just looking for a HQ or it could be completely the opposite a HQ for a very hostile clan to store loot and supplies before heading out on a big operation. The idea behind this will be that only 2 clans could possibly set-up a HQ in the entire server thus making them a huge asset for people willing to fight over them.

Damn I'm sad I missed that, wish more people were still doing this I'd love to get in on some of that action. I'm pretty sure if there was a real zombie apoc, you wouldn't be running around on your own just hoping to "survive". There would be people looking to secure a large area and increase their numbers.

It's just an idea, as currently there is no endgame par hunt and kill. So having something else to do like refilling the town with supplies and such would give people something else to do rather than KOS'ing every single player they get their sights on :D

I found 2x camo'd clothing yesterday had to kill a guy to get to the chopper first but yea it worked perfectly fine for me :)

Fact is if you were starving and there was nothing else to eat you would do it.

Well taking this in all seriousness they could add something under hunger / thirst like desperation, 5 minutes before your going to start dying due to hunger thirst you have the option to eat / drink off a fallen players corpse, Half the time you wouldn't even find someone if you were in the wild but it would be a cool aspect to see desperate players running around the countryside looking for a player to kill / eat lol. You could also add a separate skin in this game to compensate for this action like a pastey, sick looking player that would be interesting lol.

I 100% agree on this it would also give the new players some kind of differential between friendlies and hostiles, not only this but if you would set the number to like 8-15 player kills before you get the bandit skin it really would give players something to work for if they wanted to choose that path. You could also do something similar to people who hunt the bandits aka just a skin like the standard camo'd clothing would do fine like a reward for the work they have put in.

My question is if the game goes standalone what happens to us people who brought arma 2 just for dayz, will they take away the hive server and just leave us in the trash if we refuse to switch to the standalone. I myself might not buy the standalone because I'm already getting the enjoyment I want from the current mod of arma 2.

Hey guy's, I normally run around solo or with 1-2 friends but our group consists of around 5 players who get online together at night, were not super 1337 epic pwnzor but we know what were doing. Were all totally against ALT'F4 we stick it in through the thick and thin and if we die then we die. My skype is dr3z1989 and if anyone want's to chill north with me add me. I'm always looking for a good gun fight. Oh and our age's range from 22-32

So I was at stary and decided I would test my new M24, I find a nice little position covering the tents and wait two minutes and low and behold a player named QUIN walks straight there oblivious to the world. I shoot him once in the chest and he goes down, I'm happy feeling hey I'm about to get a nice little kill for myself, then of course *POOF* he combat logs. Now I think to myself hmm I'm using DAYZCOMMANDER, I wonder if I add his name to my friends I'l be able to track him down and get the kill I worked for. After refreshing my server list for the second time pow he appears in a DE server 12am, now I'm thinking wow this is awesome okay I have night vision goggles and an M4A1 ECO, I change my position and prepare myself for a quick kill when I get ingame. The tedious loading time ensues and he's right in my sights I fire off 4-5 shots and once again he's bleeding and laying on the floor, now I'm thinking how the freaking hell can he take a chest shot from my M24 and 4 shots from my M4A1 then *POOF* he combat logs again. Now I'm thinking to myself Jesus F'ing christ can this guy be anymore of a lame ass, back to the server list I go, now he's obviously unconscious cause he fell to the ground bleeding so heck I should just be able to walk upto his face and blow it apart no?... well that's what I thought. Once again I wait through the boring load in time and POW the second I log in insta death from him standing ontop of me. All I can say is wow.. Just... wow... So this is just a message to QUIN really... your a pathetic player and I hope you enjoy your time playing the game how it shouldn't be played :). Enjoy.

Camping... if you even looked at what I said I was there for less than 5 minutes :) but sure if you call that hardcore camping I'm a pussy lol. Typically I only play on two servers DE90 and DE807 I don't ever really server hop but the fact he dc'd annoyed me so I thought I should follow him. But as I know from reading the comments my shots didn't even register on him because he cut connection to the server as bad as godmode tbh.

I would agree but the fact I already hit him with an M24 to the chest and 4 shots from my M4A1, leaving him bleeding on the floor "unconscious" to spawn in with him spraying me as I load In I found funny and of course I care about the kill even more so because he combat logged. =] Ahh that makes total sense thanks for that info I'l keep it in mind in the future :)

touché I'm a true alpha tester now xD I've played many fps games but no game has given me such a thrill to play as DayZ the fact there is perma death is awesome it brings a new level of caring about your character, saying that I'm decent with any close quarter weapons but the fact is I've always loved sniping it's stealthy and fun to do. I understand if you don't agree with it but that's just a difference in playstyle. We can't all run around shooting ak's or m4's or the game would just be dull.

Hehe well I wanted to test out my M24 obviously, there is nothing wrong doing some pvp once in awhile :)

I actually goto bed around 11 pm now as that's when most the servers I play on hit night and none of my friends have NV par me so we all just goto bed and get up around 6 am xD it's quite funny I have a pretty good sleeping routine now xD

Hey guys, Was checking out some video's when I came across this guy, I got into a semi-heated debate about how combat logging is abusing disconnect and how it's going to be fixed "soon" hopefully anyway he was pretty certain he's in the right doing this and has tons of videos showing off DayZ. He goes all the way gloating about how these guys are "noobs" when he pulls a DC to avoid a firefight. Thinking this is the kinda player the community would frown upon. My point exactly :) can't stand players like him. I personally play as a sniper and I see every death as a learning experience, I'm new but I don't mind working for the items I find.

I wouldn't of minded so much but as he went all the way with calling these guys noobs I thought I should point out he was exploiting when he death dodged.
