Yep, just got thunderdomed on 00. This server's going on my do-not-play list.

There's also a bunch of helicopters (6 or 7) just outside of the map on US 00 and about 1km to the east(?) there are a couple giant camps. I don't have the exact location bc I forgot to check my GPS before I jumped in one of the helis and took off. I think I almost made it back to the coast, but ended up getting chased by another heli with a couple guys in it. It was my first time flying and I overcompensated and crashed. Fun times. Lots of hacking on that server, though.

Did this happen last night? I was part of a teleport to the NWA and was banned after I respawned for, as far as I can tell, no reason.

I just got banned from this server tonight. A hacker did the teleport-everyone thing and killed everybody. After I respawned the admin wrote a message about kicking the hackers. After admin's message I wrote a direct communication message asking about the hackers (I assume admins can see all those messages), and a few seconds later I was banned. WTF?

WTF does "OP" mean in this context ("L85 can indeed be considered OP").

I was helping out a new player and we were looting the office building in Elektro. Some asshole strolled in and shot us both and then took our stuff. Classy. Lucky for me I respawned right outside of Elektro and was back in town in less than 2 minutes. I'll now address the bandit directly. You looted and hid our bodies but failed to hide the dead body in the corner of one of the second story rooms. That body was there when we arrived and it had a crossbow on it. I saw you leave the building. I walked in, grabbed the crossbow and went to the roof. I watched you crouch to loot that other dead body in the street right outside of the supermarket (the body of another guy I was helping who earlier got overwhelmed by zombies trying get to the super market). I loaded my only bolt, took aim at your head, and put the bolt right through your ears. Thank you for your DMR and all that other good shit you were carrying (compass, map, binocs, matches, knife, hatchet, toolkit, etc.). I know, sometimes it's a pain in the ass to scratch together all the stuff you need to survive out in the wilderness. Thanks.

I think the infrastructure around the bitcoin protocol is stronger than ever right now. I mined/bought what I started out with last year when the price was just breaking $1. I sold it all on the way down from the crazy bubble, and then I rebought when the price started going back up from its bottom at $2. The price is around $9 now and I have a pretty insane unrealized return on investment. Even if the price fell by 50% right now, I could sell and still make a ridiculous profit by traditional market standards. So, yeah, somebody sell me some shit for bitcoin... Also, one of the reasons I proposed a way to post notes on walls in the game is because it could be used as a way to transfer value since you could exchange bitcoins in the game by putting a private key in a note (which could be attached to a surface, or carried in your pack). You could even create scavenger hunts in the game by splitting up private keys and posting them in different places in the game. Anyone with the full set could redeem the bitcoins controlled by the full key. If multiple people had parts of the key, then they'd have to cooperate in order to redeem the value, or one would have to kill the other and steal it. Integrating bitcoin in the game in this way could create some interesting social dynamics, I think.

I'd pay bitcoin for stuff. How much do want for a sniper rifle?

It'd be cool if you could leave small messages in the game world. Pieces of paper that could be pinned to walls.

Ugh, I can't get rid of this cough. Haven't been able to find any antibiotics...The search continues.

Food and blood transfusions will regenerate blood. Cans of food restore something like 200 blood units. Cooked meat restores 800, I think. Morphine will "fix" broken bones, I think.

I've been here for a while on a few different servers, but it seems everyone is much further south. Things have been good up here with the hospital and the grocery store just down the street. But, it's dark now, so I could use some company. I don't really know how this works, TBH. I'm still only on my 2nd or 3rd day. Still feels pretty new. I've got about an hour to kill before I've got to work...

Ok, well, I'm gonna hop servers. If anyone wants to meet at the hospital let me know. I can probably give a blood transfusion if you need it (I think I have all the stuff for it, but I'll read up on it).

I understand. Since I'm new to the forum, I'm not sure there's anything I can say to mitigate your concern.

This happened to me today, but it ended up working out in my favor. So...I'm just starting out in this game and I've been having a hard time finding food and good guns. I was sneaking around a building in prone and then suddenly I was transported to a spot in the woods with 7 or 8 other people plus two guys who just started shooting everyone. Since I was already in prone position I just remained very still, and I think the hackers thought I was already dead. After they ran off I looted the 6 or 7 bodies left over and got a nice pack, a couple good guns, binocs, watch, compass, lots of ammo and tons of food, water, and health supplies. I was set. Thanks hackers.

Ok then, I'll sell beans for bitcoin. Currency system created.

I don't know that this would make the game more intense, but it might make it more interesting - create a system for trading, possibly use bitcoin as an in-game currency...
