Luckily this isn't a game, it's a mod in alpha stages. Once the standalone is released we should see at least 80% (pulled far out of my ass) of the hackers gone, since they won't be able to download scripts and press the kill all button.

Though I would prefer the whole "MMO" drag and drop type of inventory with maybe a trade function instead of looting off of backpacks, right now I wouldn't put it high on the priority list -

They are blacklisted I think, I don't know if they actually have multiple databases based on region. -

My lack of caring has bested me this time, vulnerability I meant to say. I do not condone hacking, but I have died 5 times within the last 4 days to hackers; I didn't whine to Rocket for a db rollback, I took it like a man playing a MOD in alpha and moved on, he has better things to do than worry about kids who have no idea how anything works. -
This is funny since most hackers kill everyone, I have yet to be teleported into a mosh pit.

Update your arma 2 beta patch to the most recent, if that doesn't work then run your battle eye setup again. arma 2 beta patches: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ and you can find battle eye setup in C:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\arma2 operation arrowhead\BEsetup\ --edit-- I was getting this error a couple beta patches ago, but it resolved itself with updating.

They said it had to do with corrupted object cleanup or something of that nature, this is not entirely your fault and will probably be fixed in the future -

No, if you lost your gear suck it up, they aren't rolling back the hive. This invulnerability will be fixed when Rocket and the team blast off into standalone, you win some you lose some. -

@Rocket I know you probably have seen me post this question before, but why is it that we cannot see who killed who? We could filter out so many hackers if we knew that the 40+ people who just died were killed by hackerman5000 or w/e. Most of these hackers are 11 yr old kids who learned how to google and think they are leet now :/

@Rocket this is true, also if you are going to display Player was just killed, then at least say how the player died, this will DESTROY hackers at least for now, preventing them from doing teleport/killings and such

@Rocket, I'll keep this short Some people "alt f4" defensively to combat hackers who use teleport scripts. So hopefully your algorithm doesn't db ban the non hackers more than the hackers. I do see some merit to living 10 seconds after disconnect however, though hackers would succeed in killing you, people who disconnect when their buddy gets sniped in the head will realize how much of a mistake they are making. I don't see any reason to ban people for this however, a long ingame time after DC should be good enough. Also hackers don't give a flying **** about other hackers getting banned, they do it because they like the risk and like killing people who have no way of defending themselves, fulfilling some internal desire for being a supreme douche. I am friends with the admin of a server and I have died to hackers 5+ times within the past 4 days, each time the admin claimed that there was absolutely no way he could figure out who did it because there was no PLAYER A was killed by PLAYER B, there was no evidence besides 17 people with golden AK's. THIS MUST be fixed above everything else or hackers will destroy the game before it even makes beta.
