Teleport and GM are self only scripts, plenty (all?) of these are still unlogged and undetected. Self heal, repairing vehicles, spawning weapons (directly to themselves, not in a crate), etc. are still around also. The new logs pick up global things, like morphing users, spawning vehicles, mass teleporting, etc..

It's working, assuming you have your remoteexec.txt set right. Generally everything in it should result in a ban, so it's good that it hasn't been created yet. So far I've only seen an attempted Huey spawn trigger it.

You can still play on your outdated server even if you update your client, just not the other way around. I was able to at least. I've been content with HFB. Nothing too bad but nothing special either. Nice uptime. Their support likes to ignore your questions and they won't add more integrity checks on .pbo files aside from plants because it's 'too resource heavy'. Any HFB server is just begging to get exploited to shit by the popular new douchebag technique of removing buildings to horde vehicles in them or shoot people.

Seems blown up vehicles just come back on server restart. Anyway to make them really despawn so that they'll eventually respawn somewhere else with the default items (none? not sure) in them?

Maybe we can hope the horrible artifacts are finally fixed in 1.7.3 (or whatever version it is)?

I'll come by once in a while. I hope you've read up on the new scripts.txt, remoteexec.txt and createvehicles.txt and keep them updated with Dwarden's edits. If not, do it.

If you're so hardcore, you shouldn't have a problem facing off against "casuals" with their third person "exploit" on, because you're so hardcore, aren't you? Kids these days. Back on topic, I've seen a steady drop in my server population regardless of settings. The population spike and hype is over and and people are seeing the game for what it is (a huge mess) and moving on. The game has far too many servers and too little players now, this should hopefully change as server owners hit their due dates and start canceling.

So much this. This game has seen a surprising amount of sucess for how many huge flaws it has, but expecting to flow on that dying momentum into a standalone game is going to end badly. This game is a timebomb right now and anyone who has watched their main servers slowly depopulate and their clan mates disappear one by one should know this. The crappy engine is the reason for most of this games flaws, including all the cheaters and script kiddies on it.

Ever since updating to the latest scripts.txt, I'm getting a lot of "isDedicated" spam from a lot of players, multiple times for each (example: 14.08.2012 21:27:42: Chris (IP:2324) GUID - #132 "isDedicated") Any idea what it means and how to remove it if it's causing pointless logging? Another question, I've been told that my server is letting users play with plants and buildings removed despite my server having verifySignatures = 2; set. What else can I do to have these people kicked automatically?

The sad thing is you're only seeing the blatant ADHD skiddies, and not the much bigger crowd who stay away from flashy scripts but use player/vehicle ESP, teleport, invisibility, etc.. Protip to admins: ESP is all you need to ban cheaters en masse. Use it for good and you'll get about 5-20 legit bans on your server a day.

Since everyone seems to love stating the obvious... An alpha is a stage where the game is still being actively developed and changed and likely has unoptimized code and serious bugs. Sounds about right... A hotfix is a patch that's supposed to fix an issue. Hey, wait a minute... If only Rocket had enough semen to feed all the braindead fangirls in this thread.
