You should really read up on what Rocket is working on right now, and the progress he is making on the standalone, because a lot of what you brought to attention has already been addressed by him in interviews. Secondly, would you rather have the standalone ready quick-times, or have him and the team push it off and work on the ARMA II mod? I would rather have a standalone ready to play with the scripting issue eradicated, than continue playing on a mod that seems to encourage people to not play legit (duping, lack of power in the hands of server owners, easy to script in events/items etc.).

Yah I have been telling people that the Old Bike is the best vehicle in game, but they don't listen man, they don't listen! Let us start a club.

I played on 4 or 5 different .5 servers, repaired numerous vehicles, and stuffed tents full of gear, but after each restart, vehicles reverted back to their positions they were in in .4, and vehicle inventories reverted back to what they were in .4. Artifacts are manageable; just go back and forth from windowed mode to fullscreen to fix it, but having all in-game progress deleted after each restart isn't.

Ahh, I thought the problem was that I was running 1.7.2.4 instead of 1.7.2.5 (because .5 is virtually unplayable, Fuck me right?), but if it is just a problem with the hive then I shouldn't have any reason to worry.

Yah, you will likely have to wait a while, but they do deliver. I paid for mine on Aug 15 8:18AM, and finally got it on Aug 18 7:14AM. Everything works great, you just have to be very patient.

Alrighty, so my server is setup all nice and good. My friends are playing on it now, but there is no number after the country code. It just says US (v1.7.2.4/Beta 95417)... Is this against the rules to leave it like that?

This is perhaps the worst bug I have encountered in this mod yet. Makes the game unplayable as all progress reverts back to the previous version. Why haven't the Devs commented on this? Or have they?

So I was biking around Chernarus for several hours on good server (no unexpected crashes/restarts, no hackers/cheaters/scripters encountered) on an Old Bike that had red text (it always had red text, when it was damaged, and when it was in mint condition), when all of a sudden, it just disappears right in front of my eyes! It was really strange, here is a picture of the red text on the bike: I found the bike up on a mountain beside another bike, neither of which were in their natural spawn points. I was riding it around for a day or so, logged on and off several times and each time I logged back on I found it exactly where I left it. About 10 minutes ago, after riding it around a bit, I get off and it literally vanishes into thin air *POOF*. What I am wondering is: A ) Have you ever seen a vehicle with red text instead of green, and B )What do you think could have caused it to despawn right in front of me?

Yah, that is what I was thinking. I figured that was an indicator it was scripted in, but oh well, 3k trek back to the other bike lol I hope its there.

Absolutely, without a doubt: the Old Bike. Fast, silent to players, kicks up very little dust (actually I think no dust), hard to spot even at close ranges (thus easy to stash), easy to repair, superior handling, and fairly common. First objective on a server/respawn is a bike so I can stealthily acquire better gear and vehicles.

Well, if that's really how you feel, then you should be putting more effort into convincing the devs to ban people for it, not convincing me to adhere to your purist ideals. The only reason I still use it is because it is NOT against the rules, and Rocket has already addressed this exact issue (and from what I see, he does not enjoy repeating himself). To summarize mt post; I don't care if it makes you sad/mad that I use a non-DayZ weapon, from my perspective, you are just as bad as the people who complain that there are too many bandits, and they need to be restricted. If it is in the game, and Rocket has spoken about it, it is a feature. Too bad for the rest of you.

First of all, I am not a bandit, nor is the weapon I have a player killing weapon, its a zombie killing weapon, so if you want to kill me and bury my weapon, feel free to come find me and do so. Second of all, I have no interest of returning to your server as the last time I was on 1023 there was 30 people on, several hackers spawning and blowing up helicopters and teleporting to people invisible. No thanks.

No. Currently the only argument for me keeping the weapon is that it is not against the rules. Plain and simple. If it was against the rules, I would not even touch it, but...it is not against the rules, so there is nothing to stop me. BTW, props to you for calling me childish. That is certainly the 'stand up' thing to do. *sarcasm*
