You clearly have 0 server admin experience due to the fact this it is normal for a server admin to shut down servers to scan logs. his mistake was not giving the server pop a notifacation in regards to shutting the server down for a restart because of hackers. as i said before.. dont be so quick to throw somebody under the bus when they are willing to go out of there way to provided to you a server that hosts an alpha mod to test on, again remember... you are not playing dayz, you are testing it.

Accepting responsiblity and acknowledging the fact that one did wrong and will continue to fix anything that is wrong.. is alot better then.. well every other thread i have seen. Give the guy a break. Id give him a second chance for manning up.

Awesome man, here is some other things i encourage new admins to do as well to help combat hackers. Enable Tagging. it sucks but hey.. at least you can get names of hackers. Also, in the event you cant log onto rcon or suspect possible hackers, through up an admin message so players feel more at ease with some closure about the server coming down. I know me and the clan im in have had issues with the rcon not working when there were hackers in the server, no one was upset after sending a message about an immediate server restart. Beans for your honesty bro.

You made a few bad bans you refuse to own up to and i even sat and watched you dup items for hours on end. In case anyone one is wondering.. the reason all those coyote packs are on the ground near his tents, its because of the Ghille equip back pack dupeing. So not only is this guy a shitty admin who holds him self above man kind, he is a cheater.

you havent. Clearly you suffer from some issues. you personally satated that you run a server by youself yet have complaints about it all the time. You are reluctant to request administrative help because, as im sure... you know it all.. you are wrong.. running a server is one thing.. a place where your own rules would apply.. running a server in an alpha mod for a game that already has server rules.. is a completly diffrent story. You are doing 1 of 2 things when you set up a server here at DAYZ. 1. You are providing a space for players to react and test an alpha mod, while running tests on occasion of your own to test combatability issues with consecutive patches. 2. you bought a server to help yourself and clan out by being able to manipulate a few things to your advantage. If you are running a server for the greater good of this games progression and community... you shouldn't have threads posted against you with evidence or... a generally empty server... you would simply follow the server tos and not pretend like you are some GOD above the rules as a server owner. im not saying you dont know how to run a server, as your behavior is sometimes necessary in games like CSS, all im saying is that you dont know how to run a server in an alpha....

here is how i see this working out for the legit players. It will take just short of a god awful long time to get you all unbanned BUT this means hackers trying to jump into this mess will remained banned. Due to the amount of people this is happening to, they will need to investigate each individual making an unban request. So as the other dude said, patience is a virtue.

I have noticed this game bring out two diffrent types of server admins. One being the, i set this server up for the people to use and test alpha with, it is with great pleasure that i can help Dayz reach its future goal and the other, IM A SERVER ADMIN I DO WHAT I WANT AND FUCK YOU YOU FREEBIES you leechers who dont pay for your OWN server to play on FUCK YOU im awesome YOUR A FREEBIE. Deff like the 1st guy. Some people like myself dont have the option for a server, running a server has never been about making it private because you like to commit acts of gay sex and bestiality in your fancy locked server. So in turn, YAY server owners like you and the one explained above.. hold dayz back. Just like any other appeal process in the world, if a person feels they were done wrong by power.. they fight it. Dont come here and cuss people out because you thought your cause for action was justified.. no one gives a fuck. Provide evidence and be finished.

the problem with this is you did not try to re create there scenario. Im sure you went into a server nervous as hell attempting to avoid possibly being banned.I find it extremely hard to believe that BE would not take it upon them selves to announce a successful mass ban on thousands of players in a day. obviously, these bans are rooted with the new beta patches and Dayz mod compatibility. If there was a mistake, give it time. Its a beautiful summer out there! Correction, a group of players who had hacked items. You provided proof only that they had hacked items, not of them spawning it.

you dont get it, do you. It is not and has never been a bannable offense to have equipped a hacked item. Hell, even BE says they will never ban for players having hacked items. Continue to rage over your poor decision.

I found it really hard to understand your run on sentence. What you are saying is... there is at least 1 hacker out there who dosnt ruthlessly slaughter every player after transforming them into rainbow farting cows? Bottom line, he didnt cheat and broke 0 rules. At any rate, you will do what you want to do because you hold a ego higher then the average player but dont forget that what i had just previously said, holds true. Edit#2: also, seeing has how the poor victims story has been consistent in this thread, that person he was playing with before he got banned, that same person he got the weapon from... was you (the only server admin for this server) being a bandit is fun, being a black mailing bandit.. is disgusting.
