    I love how ppl rant here about things they have no idea how they work "I've played CoD I know what I'm talking about!!!!111oneoneeleven". RV is doing quite well considering there is a lot of optimalisations and bug fixes to do. P.S. Close it already what's the point of wasting space on server :P.

    The KOS conundrum, problem/solution.

    OMG here we go again with crappy ideas how to castrate game insead of adding new content to give players other things to do. Ppl forget about this but zombie apocalypse scenario include death of most humanity. There are two types who survive psyhopats and ppl who doesn't trust anybody. There is no place for guys running around shouting friendly in the middle of Balota (aka asking for death). If you are one of them you are part of 99% of population who will die in a few frist days. If you want to play as a normal guy learn how to survive. Another thing is most of you new players forget about that this is early alpha 90% of content is still not here whitch make most of ppl who areplaying now bored thats why they get involved in PvP. When new content will arive PvP the probability of encounters will fall.

    Lol I like how some ppl make from combat loggers poor victims that are trying to play game but they are brutally mutilated all the time by evil bandits. Truth is most of combat loggers are guys who shoot first, fail to hit target and then combat log to run away form consequences.

    Yeah I don't know what's the point of blood bags atm. They wanted to created that whole advanced mechanic for transfusions and after that they just added the old ones with just other name which makes it even more unauthentic. You have my rotten kiwi!

    So basically you say "hey lets put bandit skins but I have no idea how to make them work properly instead of punishing players that try to defend them self" BTW how it's going to work with current gear system? Lots of players started also to kill fresh spawns only to get those "kool" bandit skins. About the L2P card that's how good games work you have to learn to become better unless we want to follow the path of WoW where not standing in fire is considered as to hard for people.

    Bandit skin didn't solved ANY problems with KoS. This broken mechanic escalated problem even more because DayZ have very low TTK so usually the guy who won fire-fight received bandit skin and after that all ppl just KoS you because you had it. Tbh I don't understand you. Playing as a hero is a challenge. Most of zombie apocalypse scenarios have more hostile ppl than friendly ones that's why it's so thrilling and people who can do simple good act to others are so awesome. It's not because of game mechanics it's how human mentality works. Often after I gear up I'm walking around coast trying to learn new players how tu survive. Ppl don't even know how to play friendly. Most of them are ready to run straight to armed group yelling friendly without second thought. Why we have to add some broken mechanics only to please players that have no idea how to play this game and have completely no idea about zombie survival universe. They are usually the ones who die first in all movies :P. So once again I will say that NO for broken barriers in PvP instead add more things to do so players will treat PvP as an addition to a game not the main purpose. BTW "Baditry (aka KoS-bandits) = kill you as soon as they spot you, you loose everything, they gain everything." You loose most of loot from the body playing this way also the guy you try to shoot can get away and have more friends hiding around.

    Yes I agree that's why I hope devs will add new things to do rather than try limit the only thing we have at the moment (PvP). Most of ppl who say they hate KoS think only how to castrate PvP rather than add new content so players will have more things to do apart from killing each other.

    Lol safezones, npc, karma best ideas to break game with mechanics that won't solve the problems but will break the game. I don't need stupid karma systems that will make bandit from me only for defending myself and it doesn't matter if it's fully geared bandit or fresh-spawn who think he can get easy loot by charging at me with bare fists. Npcs and safezones is the best way to give griefers another tool to abuse other players and limit the freedom of other turning game into mindless grind simulator. NPC with guns will also use a lot of more resources than anything else greatly reducing amount of loot and zombies. Also I have great suggestion for most of players in DayZ who don't like KoS maybe don't go to Balota for once? Seriously any server I play on is like 60% pop Balota 30% Cherno 10% rest of the map. If you thing I'm making things up ask any noob on the coast or watch some streams and movies from DayZ. It's like sitting on NWAF in mod and crying on KoS. BTW For all ppl crying how they bought this game and now they are killed by other players remember this is alpha most of survival mechanics are not in game yet wait at least few month before trying to ruin this game with some crappy mechanics limiting PvP. Also don't try to turn this game into another modern MMO with different models we have enough of this crap on the market already.

    I know what you are talking about OP and I'm supporting this 100%. 10 new variants of DMR won't make this game more entertaining and will only increase problems that we have atm. Players need others things to do. This will greatly improve game-play and reduce unnecessary kills without some retarded mechanics preventing PvP. Don't Starve is a good example of a game from which devs should take some inspirations.

    So basically you want to change DayZ into any modern MMO this days. Which will kill all the fun but not solve the problem of griefers because they don't care about anything and will exploit safezones and tradepost turning them into hotspots. Also adding currency to game will allow KOS ppl to hoard huge amount of money which will decrease value of your character even more. BTW how you are planing solve the problem of additional performance loss created by NPC that will need to have some really advanced AI to fight with bandits also how you want to distinguish player that KOS from player that is defending himself because that was never solved in mod? I've seen this scenario so many times... Players complaining about PVP because of random ganks or griefers developers put some game mechanics to prevent it which usually don't solve any problems but it slowly change PVP game into mindless farm simulator.

    I like this idea. Of course it need a lot of tweaking but it would be good for gameplay. You can add some option near body that would prevent it from being revived.
