hey man, i just wanted to thank you for the unnecessary ban you gave me for my post about the broken hive and artifacting that aren't gonna be fixed. yeah it might have been an LOLQQ thread but that's what these forums are for. I believe rocket has said himself that it's the diversity of opinions and attitudes that makes the dayz community unique and supportive of the creation of this game. i don't think banning people for supporting their opinion or defending themselves against the onslaught of HURR DURR U SUK DONT PLAY with some light trolling is justified or productive for this mod. my language was not worse at all than those who were viciously attacking me and my opinions. unless of course, you're trying to bury the evidence of the corrupted hive, and tell people that the artifacting is 'just part of the alpha.' If you look at any of the LOLQQ threads i've posted, you'll see even worse vitriol aimed in my direction than i react with. if you were an impartial moderator (as is your job) you wouldn't just ban who you disagree with, but address the issue with something more substantive that LOL QQ SUM MOAR. dayz has great potential, and yet i believe it is held back by the confusion of the devs and the fact that they're working on the standalone now, but also the willingness of the dayz community to accept mediocrity and viciously attack anyone who disagrees with the game's current state in any manner except that of a meek sissy. so what's going on here? is the dayz "team" going to support its player base by fixing these GLARING glytches? or are they going to let them stand until the actual game comes out? Dayz has sold how many copies of Arma CO on steam? and why has this money not been applied (at least a lil bit) to leaving the mod in a playable form until the game comes out? this is extremely uncool for the legions of loyal players (excuse me, TESTERS) who have given feedback and suggestions and have tried to help this game to mature. i've been playing dayz since like 1.5 or something, and i've seen this game get better and seen it get alot worse. We were excited to see a standalone game, but with BI and the dayz team's track record here, my hopes aren't that high. tl;dr: thanks for the bogus ban, dayz is headed for icebergs.

yes the artifacting is insane and no fix is expected. you can look around google for ways to config ur graphics card or try flushing, but word on the street is there will be no more patches or updates for dayzmod. so, have fun with the artifacting and jacked tents and vehicles, as the hive is broken too, The only thing to do now is wait for the standalone, which will probly be LOL just like this game.

you know what's fun? playing for a whole weekend only to get all your shit disappeared due the fucked up bugs with the vehicles and tents. I understand the standalone is coming out in 7 years, and that fixing the artifacting and broken vehicles are oh-so-tiresome, but SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO PLAY THIS GAME. I like dayz. i don't like the way it is managed. even notch wasn't this lame. we all still play minecraft, but i've gone through 3 groups of friends who have quit this game due to its unprofessional management. (inb4 alpha hurrrrrrrrrr) an alpha is supposed to be broken, but also IN THE PROCESS OF BEING FIXED. when we go months without fixes for things, the fanbase feels betrayed and resentful. so: 1. fix tents and vehicles asap so i don't waste my fucking time 2. fix the artifacting that makes stary, berezino, balota, nwaf, etc UNAPPROACHABLE due to mindfuck. get with it. it's 2012 and fucking game devs cant get their shit together on a potentially awesome game? at this point, if the current record is any touchstone for the future of dayz, i'm not expecting much from the standalone.
