But when you see someone obviously hacking, how do you know they are harmless? They might be funny, but whats to say 30 seconds down the line, when the jokes worn off they aren't going to kill you and ruin your game..

Yea, I'm aware, thats why its pretty pointless :P O, and I've never pitched them in rocks, but I assume its the same as pitching them in trees? You just look at it, open up the gear, say pitch tent (it wont work) then just shuffle about continuously right clicking then pitching tent and just taking baby steps around, it will pitch there sooner or later.. Never taken me more than 20 seconds to get one up inside a tree, haven't tried rocks, but don't imagine its any different.. Yes, they are, atleast in my experience..

How often does the server reset? and have you been putting new stuff in since you orginally set it up? The general issue is tents on server reset, go back to a previous state, alot of the time this is empty, so wiping anything you put into them, but sometimes this is with items. For example there are tents with thermal guns, sniper rifles, NVG, rangefinder, GPS in, and you can go and take all those items out, then when the server restarts, the tent will have all those items again, essentially giving you an endless supply of all the gear you could want.. Me and my friends each set up a tent, put stuff in, 2 appeared empty after server restart, 1 still had some of the gear in.. its hit and miss, but atleast in my experience, after its first restart, that is how it will come back everytime, no matter what.. you can destroy it, pack it up and move it, what ever.. it will still appear in its orginal location with all the gear in it, after each server restart. I do believe if you pack it up and put it somewhere else, it will appear in the orginal spot and the new spot, with all the gear in both.. but I haven't actually tested that..

It doesn't matter, a hacker can find them no matter where you put them.. As soon as your 'base' has any decent vechile there, it'll get trashed, atleast thats my experience.

You can place tents on hillsides anyway, just takes a bit of work ;)

Playing Regular doesn't help you learn the game, it just helps people find you to kill you. Far easier to learn in Vetran, where your location isn't given away on the map.

I'd recommend Vetran, and CH off..

I'm assuming you fired shots to kill him, therefore giving away your position to anyone else in the area.. It shouldn't be a surprise when you get shot at shortly after shooting someone else.. No evidence what so ever.

basically vote yes if you don't have NVG and vote no if you do.. if they weren't duped like hell, most people wouldn't have any, having some super rare gear to try and work towards is part of the fun...So once its actually rare again, NVG are fine :)

I agree, these need to be fixed, so you can actually start making camps and saving items, right now the only end game is to go hunting people really.. Though the bigger issue with it is that a tent thats saved with all the top rare gear, is full after every restart, so you can just keep going back and getting nice new AS50, NVG, RF etc after every restart.. I personally don't mind the PVP, but lots of people do seem to whine about it, and maybe alot of the PKers wouldn't be quite so hungry for fights, if they actually were risking losing their gear in those fights.. with the tents as they are, you don't have to worry, just go and pick up a new set after a server restart.. I just can't wait for the stand alone :) With this game having so many issues and still being awesome, the game, when it comes, promises to be something special :D

It should stop when you leave the server and reconnect, atleast, it always has for me when I've started coughing..

You realise your screaming out for some ungeared kid to "team up" with you and then shoot you in the back and steal everything. Just thought I'd point that out.

It would only be effective if the camo was also hacker proof.. vechiles are easy enough to hide pretty well already, until a hacker just has all the vechiles on the map marked, then it doesn't matter what you've done..
