Why isn't there such a thing yet? Americas Army (1) had nearly the same type of green symbology as the current version of DayZ but AA had a stance indicator on top of that which I find really useful for servers with no 3d. All I can say is: chill out newbies! And I don't say this in order to offend you bat rather calm you down. I'm playing the series for over a decade now and I can tell you that it is hard for me too! But it is all due to the most recent update which changed the Zeds detection behaviour and obviously there seems to be some sort of bug which lets them see and hear far wider than it was intented. This is going to be fixed and you will have the same experience + fun as the people you saw in those YouTube vids. Hang on just a few more days and I'm sure a fix for these problems is in the making the second I write this. See you around on Chernarus!

I guess it's the way zombies apply damage to the player by script, that is responsible for objects like houses taking damage too. That may be an unintentional bug but please keep it in!

Oh my god he killed me, a harmless, hard-working, survivor! Ban him! Get over yourselves! It is a ruthless game with a lot of ruthless peole playing it. If you can't handle it don't play it or find a way to make your situation better by yourself and not crying for a ban everytime something displeases you...

Seriously I've read through all five pages and noone has mentioned this yet: If he wants to ragequit he is goddamn well entitled to do so! I can totally understand that someone is pissed after getting killed and immediately wants to quit the game. It's not his nor any other user's fault that his corpse is not staying for 10 more minutes on the server so that the guy who killed him can loot his stuff! People wanting to ban other people from the whole DayZ experience for a little thing like this, should think twice before behaving like meat hungry zombies themselves..!

I can confirm this too! Been playing with my friend for like 6 hours just to found out that we started back where we left even with the same equipment and stats... *sigh*
