well yes this would save that config... but it seems that the game is sometimes not using my prifle

i must correct myself... problem still not fixed. sometimes its working and sometimes its resetting my profile... is it possible that terraingrid and scenecomplexity may be overwritten by some servers?

Hi guys, my problem is that my arma2oaprofile.txt will always be reseted after I launch the game. it seems that my settings (eg. terraingrid, scenekomlexity,...) wont be taken by the game... any advices on this problem?

i general, you should search for low fps posts. there are tons of tips and hits to increase performance... those helped me a lot to set up decent settings to get this game going with my crapy laptop...

->press shift + minus[on numpad] ->type "flush". it wont show you what your typing, but if you typed correctly you'll get a message. the flush will clear your memory and restarts that cycle you were talking about so you don't have restart the game.

well, laptop is plugged into current, energy saving mode is set to high performance, my task manager says there are only 55 processes and none of these are stealing performance and drivers are up to date. all arma settings are set to the lowest (so shadows are off and textures are set to lowest). well yes my hard drive is kind of a bottle neck. it's a standard 500gb s-ata 2 hdd for laptops with 5400 rpm (2,5"). but i can't see how my hdd influences FPS. once the data is loaded into the RAM there should be almost no traffic anymore between HDD to RAM. I really can't get it how you can reach ~50 fps on open field and not under 25 in towns with your hardware... still any suggestions?

AA, post processing and vsync are off and there are no other programs stealing cpu recources. This was was first thing i checked. I can only set pre rendered frames on 1 (there is no 0 to pick). CPU and GPU are set to bring maximum performance instead of quality. Hi guys, like this topics says, i have some performance issues on my notebook. Its' specs are: -i5 2430M (2 x 3 Ghz with TurboBoost) -4 GB DDR3 RAM -GT 540M (2GB RAM) -Windows 7 (all softwares are up-to-date) I changed all settings to the lowest and worked through some arma performance guides, e.g: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/forums/showthread.php?2565-A-few-simple-notes-on-performance&p=76042&viewfull=1#post76042... But in bigger towns, sometimes my FPS are under 10... On free areas FPS are at about 15-20... Does anybody have some suggestions to fix this? Or does someone use an equal notebook, but is able to play DayZ? Thank you in advance!
