So I was wondering if humanity could be tracked without having to come into close contact with someone else. The current system with the hero skin can be easily be exploited and doesn't really change anything much and the heartbeat sounds kinda sound meh. Its only recently when I had an hacker experience that this so called hacker teleported to my location and tried to offer me some of his wares that I thought of this idea. Below you can see the negotiation happening with the hacker in the soldier outfit. I couldn't find out who he was so I thought of finding another server. I left and then I have this screenshot behind my server browser and I thought why not have some sort of camera to take pictures and analyze them as evidence to track humanity. The camera comes with some sort of facial tracking to track players which categorizes the pictures and it would be more obvious that someone with a face rag would definitely have something to hide. A much clearer picture would be generated to deduce the humanity if more evidence could be gathered in the form of taking more pictures and time spent tracking their motives. Alternatively random players can choose to "reveal" their humanity by having their photos taken and the smile on their face tells you a lot of their motives. The smile for a bandit and a survivor varies subtly but when more pictures are taken something about the bandit's smile wouldn't seem very natural. Please feel free to discuss this idea.

Why haven't i seen this thread before. oh that's right its a copy and paste of other user's suggestion into one massive clusterfuck without due regard to forum rules. I've got no problems with said implementation of the forum's ideas but if the OP could at least link to the original posters ideas with their acknowlegdment that would make it at least a tad more fucking respectful. To be honest I have never seen anything spawn in the ocean. I would like one of these floating on water.

So why not lock out certain areas in such a way access is granted through special means. Let's have a look at different scenarios. Scenario 1 : Dirt Trail Use a dirt bike to jump over to the other side. Scenario 2 : Chemical/Biological/Radiation/Electrocution Areas Acquire Hazmat suit to enter a hazardous area. Scenario 3: Lock-down Certain areas require someone to open a door from the outside and if you're a lone wolf chances are you are gonna be a loner. But you could build an obstacle to prevent such a lock-down to buy you some time. Scenario 4: Obstacles A makeshift ladder or a plank of wood to get you access to the other side when all routes of access are blocked. Scenario 5: Dynamic Obstacles Weather elements can bring about an ever changing obstacle course be it in the form of landslides, trees toppling over, flying billboards etc. Feel free to discuss and add to the list.

Trading on the forums is a form of meta gaming and I personally am totally against it.

Gathering evidence initially to work out the humanity would produce a greater chance of error and so it would require players to socialize and get better at their evidence gathering skills.

Battle Eye should change its name to Blind Eye?
twix (DayZ) replied to God_his_self's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Not just any hole its a massive black hole destroying everything in its path. Battleye has definitely earned it's reputation and continues to succeed in this path of failure and I believe strongly this is the beginning of the end. -
u do realize that those tents are out there so anyone can loot them. even if u think its a well placed tent u would have to shoulder the burden that your loots out there for any1 to grab.

So having a look back at what rocket had previously mentioned in one of his posts on how he plans to implement certain zombies being old and weak and wondered if the same approach could be done with our characters. So initially we all start out nice and pulp but then we go rotten after a few days and the only way to prolong our healthy state would be to use some sort of preservative. Here's what I had in mind: Factors that affects us over time: 1. Sight - This would be in form of random blurring as well as affecting your visibility of far of objects. Possible cure would be find a pair of glasses or some sort of med. 2. Fatigue - You would become encumbered with much larger backpacks and would have to rely on much lighter packs. Alternatively you could use vehicles, horses or dogs to carry more goods. 3. Stamina - You stamina gradually decreases and you would require to properly manages your reserves as you tend to require more frequent meals and liquids throughout the day to replenish your stamina. 4. General Weakness - Recoil on weapons then become more pronounced when using high caliber weapons with a chance to drop your weapon on the ground. 5. Tolerance - You develop a tolerance for certain meds such as painkillers requiring you to intake higher doses to give you the necessary effect on your body. 6. Infection - You have a higher chance of catching an infection either be from a zombie bite/attack or from weather elements. Your body starts to feel the effects of the elements more rapidly than a day 1 spawn. 7. Panic - A much higher chance of getting panicked when encountering zombies causing shock and the shakes. Feel free to discuss and add your suggestions.

Looks pretty sweet but perhaps only for single player games maybe.
