I don't have much preferences, the only thing I request is that you have a microphone and that you are not a complete idiot. I speak english and german, and I am fine with communication over ts, mumble, ventrilo or steam chat. I am looking for a group to do some survival fun in dayz. Just contact me on steam if you want to play with me, microphone is required from you. Steam name is same as here. I don't want to join any clan, I just want to play now.

Try more diffrent servers and look if you are on the right version. Or get a launcher like dayzcommander and let it check if you have all files.

Well, this mod is for arma2 and not crysis or half life. Bein a editable multiplayer military simulator is has better things to do than physics. -
This is the TL;DR version? Wut? This game was not designed so you could just run to a certain direction to get gear if you die. You are supposed to gather stuff if you respawn. Does "oh I died I'll just run back to my corpse" make any sense in a "zombie survival simulator"?

Which is an upgraded version of windows vista wich is an upgraded version of xp.... You can trace it back to DOS actually. Just wanted to mention that. Otherwise, I don't see why steam should refuse a "alpha"-game. Just because they normally don't do it does not mean they won't do it for a game that will, provided they don't mess up completly, sell very well. -
One of the best vehicles, standing in the middle of a field with also 2 lonely tents nearby, all that near Stary... I waited a very long time, I even did some fake approaches to make the "camper" nervous. Nothing happened, I drove off with the bike safely. Why would anyone abandon a bike like this ? (It was on a highly poulated server)

There is hardly any reason to leave a bike behind, sniping someone on it or riding it. It is one of the best vehicles ingame imho, really silent, takes no fuel, easy to repair and easy to hide. I had this other idea: Someone maybe had a server restart on him while he was riding the bike and he forgot were he had last saved it.

Yes, there is something: If you get the message that you died when logging in the best you can do is abort as quickly as possible. Same with teleported/being turned into a goat. If you are fast enough the "change" does not get saved on the hive. Saved my ass twice already.

No. If you got to a fresh heli crash you will probably find one. They are not that rare, I even found 2 on a crashsite. The NWAF barracks unique loot (e.g. satchel charges) is rare, and is mostly in the game because of shitty loot cyclers.

Don't play on the DE 27, it's a crappy server. Restarts without warning and hacks. Not to mention tents are more buggy then ususal there.

I don't reacall the exact days, must have been like 6-10 days. I got shot because I ran directly into someone with an AKS-U who was hiding unter a tree while I was on my bike. In the middle of the fields by the Veresnik. We noticed each other when I ran past him like 5m away.

I don't like the waypoints, they neglect the value of a Gps or being able to read a map.

This. The only thing you would achive with your suggestion is to make it even easier for "clans" to do loot cycling and vehicle hoarding. It would ruin what is left from the hive system.

Good thing you can't broadcast server-wide and you can get shot if you play bullshit. I hate it when kiddys do that on other games where the whole server-team hears it. -
